Every year, a motorcycle gang rides through the serene mountains of southern Utah. However, it’s not your typical pack of motorcyclists. It’s a group of dentists from all over the world, riding to raise money.Steven Anderson is the co-founder of Smiles for Life, a charity that’s raised nearly million, thanks to motorcycle rides like this one in Utah.“All the proceeds from this ride go to fund a dental humanitarian initiative that we do in several third-world countries,” Anderson says.These fundraisers help families and children across the globe who have little to no access to dental care.“We’ve trained people from around the world to do dentistry that haven’t been to dental school, and they now have a way to earn a living for their families,” says Roy Hammond, who has been a dentist for more than 30 years.Hammond started Miles for Life almost 20 years ago. “It changed my life, my outlook, on the world that we live in and the hardships of the people and lack of access to the comforts of life we have,” Hammond says.Dentist Ron Massie came from Missouri to ride with the other dentists and their families. He says he rides to get the word out about the lack of dental care around the world.Just like the perspective they get from riding on the open road, the motorcyclists learned there is more to life than what money can buy. They all agree that happiness doesn’t come from stuff.“It’s about giving back, and that’s so true of life, Massie says. “It’s the quality of the people and the fact that everybody is willing to give more than they get.” 1576

Democrats concluded the second day of opening arguments in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump on Thursday.Thursday marked the second of three eight-hour sessions in which House impeachment managers will explain why they feel President Donald Trump should be removed from office.On Wednesday, lead impeachment manager Adam Schiff walked Senators step-by-step through Trump's dealings with Ukraine, in which Trump withheld foreign aid for weeks in the hopes that it would encourage new Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to open an investigation into one of his political rivals."(The president) does not, under our laws and under our constitution, have a right to use the powers of his office to corruptly solicit foreign aid, prohibited foreign aid, to help his re-election," Schiff said during his remarks Thursday.Watch Thursday's session below:Democrats claim Trump abused the power of his office by withholding military aid to Ukraine — a U.S. ally and a key part of the U.S.'s defense against Russia — in exchange for opening an investigation that would be politically advantageous to Trump.Trump pushed Zelensky to announce that publicly that Ukraine was opening an investigation into Hunter Biden — the son of Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden — and his role as a board member for the Ukrainian energy company, Burisma. While he was vice president, Joe Biden pushed for the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma. Obama administration officials maintain Shokin's firing was consistent with the U.S.'s strategy of rooting out corruption in Ukraine. During part of his remarks on Wednesday, Schiff pushed for Republicans to approve witnesses following opening arguments by both sides. "You should want the whole truth to come out. You should want to know about every player in this sordid business. It is within your power to do so," Schiff said.When setting rules for the impeachment trial, Republicans declined to include scheduled time for witnesses. Following opening arguments, senators most vote to approve additional witnesses with a majority vote. DETROIT — General Motors quietly removed a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer SUV from a display at the Detroit Tigers' stadium on Saturday after the company was criticized for including a vehicle built in Mexico as part of the advertisement. The criticism comes as GM plans to close four production plants in the United States in the coming months. Two of those plants — located in Hamtramck and Warren, Michigan — are both located within 20 miles of Comerica Park, home of the Tigers.
