AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The Austin City Council has voted to cut one-third of the city's 4 million police budget amid national calls for "defunding" law enforcement in favor of spending more money on social services. ATLANTA, Ga. – UPS expects to hire more than 100,000 seasonal employees to support the anticipated increase in packages during the holiday season.The company announced Wednesday that its filling full-time and part-time seasonal positions, primarily package handlers, drivers, driver-helpers, and personal vehicle drivers.“We’re preparing for a record peak holiday season.
