SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Sharp Healthcare Tuesday announced the temporary closure of multiple locations amid the coronavirus pandemic. Sharp said Tuesday that it was temporarily closing its La Mesa West and Point Loma locations beginning Thursday, March 26. The temporary closures were also implemented to allocate cleaning resources to other sites. "Essential care for patients at these sites, and indeed all Sharp Rees-Stealy patients, will continue through video and phone visits or for patients who must be seen in person, at other Sharp Rees-Stealy clinics," the spokesperson said. The sites will re-open once the outbreak is over. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Several changes are being introduced to how Assembly Bill 5 applies to freelance writers and photographers.Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez announced the changes Thursday to address feedback from freelance writers and journalists over the effects of AB 5.“Having heard additional feedback from a variety of freelance writers, photographers and journalists, we are making changes to Assembly Bill 5 that accommodate their needs and still provide protections from misclassification,” Assemblywoman Gonzalez said.RELATED: Proposed bill would exempt musicians from AB 5The changes will remove the cap on the number of submissions that a freelancer writer, photographer, or editor can submit to one hiring entity before they must be classified as an employee. Hiring entities must not use a contractor to replace an employee position as well.When contractors provide services, their contract must specify the rate of their pay, when they receive payment, and the individual's intellectual property rights to the work submitted. The variety grown in Oceanside has tasting notes of jasmine tea, honey, key lime pie, and elderflower, according to Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, who are offering the coffee.?The bean's exclusivity is also reflected in its price. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Unified School District officials confirmed to 10News Thursday that a teacher has been placed on leave while investigators look into accusations that he exposed a sixth-grade class to pornography.Officials said they were first notified Monday after a parent reported the alleged incident happened during a physical education class at Horace Mann Middle School, located at 4345 54th Street in San Diego."San Diego Unified is investigating the incident that allegedly occurred at Mann Middle School. The employee has been placed on leave pending the investigation,” district officials said.The district said it has spoken with at least 10 students regarding the report. There were at least 24 students in the class.District officials and district police are investigating."It's reprehensible," Craig Tinson, whose 12-year-old grandson attends the school, said. "Becuase the students are very impressionable. They're looking for adults to be the leader and unfortunately, it was compromised on this occasion."A parent of one of the students told 10News that her son was in the class when the teacher allegedly showed the students an adult video of a man and woman engaged in sexual activities.
