Cuba Gooding Jr. is due in court Wednesday on charges of misdemeanor forcible touching and sex abuse in the third degree relating to an alleged groping incident this month in New York City.Gooding voluntarily surrendered for questioning after the alleged incident and pleaded not guilty to the charges in a Manhattan court. He was released on his own recognizance after the judge set the next court date.Gooding has cooperated with police and expects to be fully exonerated, his attorney Mark Heller said."In my 50 years, almost, of practicing law, I have never seen a case like this one because there is not a scintilla of criminal culpability that can be attributed to Mr. Cuba Gooding Jr. after I have extensively, with my staff, reviewed the video of almost two hours ... " Heller told reporters."Mr. Gooding has not acted inappropriately in any shape or form. Nothing in the video could even be considered ambiguous and I, frankly, am shocked and horrified that this case is being prosecuted," he said.NYPD met with the Oscar winner after a 29-year-old woman filed a police report claiming he grabbed her breast at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in Manhattan.Gooding has denied the claim. The woman in the alleged incident told police she was with friends when she was confronted by a male patron whom she described as Gooding, 1349

Dick's Sporting Goods has destroyed million of the chain's gun inventory, its CEO said. After finding out that Dick's had sold the Parkland shooter a shotgun, CEO Edward Stack decided last year the company would no longer sell firearm to anyone under 21. Dick's announced it would destroy its inventory of weapons, rather than allow them to be sold by another retailer.Since then, about million of the chain's gun inventory has been turned into scrap metal, Stack said in an interview with CBS."All this about, you know, how we were anti-Second Amendment, you know, 'we don't believe in the Constitution,' and none of that could be further from the truth," he said in the interview. "We just didn't want to sell the assault-style weapons that could inflict that kind of damage."The shootingStack is a hunter and gun owner who believes strongly in the Second Amendment. The company, which his father started as a fish-and-tackle shop in 1948, has sold guns since long before Stack started working there in 1977.But the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, on February 14, 2018, changed that. Seventeen people were killed in the attack.Though the gun sold to the shooter was not the AR-15-style rifle used in the shooting, Stack said he couldn't stand being part of the narrative of mass shootings."We had a pit in our stomach," he told CNN soon after the shooting. "We did everything by the book that we were supposed to do, from a legal standpoint, we followed everything we were supposed to do. And somehow this kid was still able to buy a gun from us."The decisionStack told CBS the controversial decision cost his company about a quarter of a billion dollars in revenue.Dick's is not the only national chain to be grappling with gun sales.Walmart announced in September that it would reduce its gun and ammunition sales significantly, also requesting that customers no longer open carry guns into their stores, even in states that allow open carry. 1997

DoorDash is finally detailing changes to its controversial tipping policy, one month after the company's CEO promised an update in response to a widespread backlash.Since 2017, DoorDash has at times taken a customer's tip and put it toward covering the base pay for that customer's delivery person. This practice made some customers feel they had been duped into footing the bill for delivery workers instead of merely providing an above-and-beyond bonus.Last month, 479

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — More than a day after 24 people were killed and hundreds more injured in a series of severe storms and tornadoes in the areas surrounding Nashville, 21 people are still missing. The 21 missing people — five of whom are children — are all from Putnam County, located east of downtown Nashville. The county was one of the hardest hit areas of the storms Tuesday morning, with 18 people already pronounced dead in the county. Eighty-eight people in the county were treated for injuries relating to the storm. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said they've searched about 60% of the area, and they've been checking places all night that were in the tornado's path.Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris said there's a possibility that officials could find some missing people when they launch a particular area Wednesday morning."An approximately 20-acre field that is located between Echo Valley Estates and North McBroom Chapel Road. That area is a field area that is marshy, that is 6 or 7 feet tall. It's a slow process. The way the tornado traveled, there's a lot of debris down there," Farris said. The clean-up efforts are going to take quite some time. Fifteen law enforcement agencies are teaming up to help out for the next few days. They are hoping to have all demolished structures checked-out by the end of the day Wednesday.Officials identified the missing people as:Rachel BaughmanKatherine JulianPenny Penelope ColeDwight GentryDavid PhillipsMaureen Langford & Andi OtisTommy KnightRobin & Bethany BabbJoey DedemicisJoe Murphy JrDenton NelsonDouglas LoftisRick StegillRyan PackinghanSteven MayoKarissa SolbergBreanna ShelbyJoyce WilsonCleburn RiceAnyone searching for a loved one can call the county helpline at 931-646-4630. Dutch authorities have caught the man suspected of opening fire on a tram in the Dutch city of Utrech, killing three people and injuring five others.Gokmen Tanis, 37, who has had previous run-ins with law enforcement, was arrested on Monday night, police said.Dutch authorities are considering "a possible terrorist motive" for the incident, which happened in 24 October Square at 10:45 a.m. (5:45 a.m ET) Monday. Utrecht Mayor Jan Van Zaben said that the motive behind the attack is "still unclear."A second suspect has also been taken into custody, van Zaben said, adding that it's not clear what his involvement was in the shooting. At a news conference, Rutger Jeuken from the public prosecution service said authorities are considering that the attack had terrorist motives, and maybe others."The first indication of what has happened and the statements that have been made and the traces that have been found, we certainly consider a terrorist motive -- however we don't exclude other motives," Jeuken said.During the manhunt, an image believed to be of Tanis, who was born in Turkey, was taken from security camera footage on board the tram and circulated by Dutch police. It was time-stamped at 10:41, roughly four minutes before the incident took place.Earlier, the Netherlands' national coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism, 1355
