A woman who says she was raped at age 15 by Jeffrey Epstein is suing his estate, his alleged madam Ghislaine Maxwell and three unnamed defendants, saying they conspired to maintain and conceal a sex trafficking ring.The accuser, Jennifer Araoz, told reporters Wednesday that Epstein, who died Saturday in prison by suicide, and his "network of enablers" stole her youth, identity, innocence and self-worth."While I am angry that Mr. Epstein's death means he will never personally answer to me in a court of law, my resolve to pursue justice is only strengthened," she said. "My story and my experiences -- those who enabled and facilitated his criminal behavior-- none of that is diminished or immunized simply because he apparently chose to take his own life."The lawsuit comes on the first day of a one-year period when any adult survivors of child sexual abuse can sue an abuser or a negligent institution in New York state court, no matter how long ago the abuse took place. The one-year window was created as part of a law signed in February."Fortunately, New York's Child Victims Act now affords survivors like me legal recourse," Araoz said. "Today, I am exercising my rights under that law. Discount European carrier Ryanair had been awaiting its first 737 Max when deliveries were halted.Among 737 Max's largest customers are discount airlines, like Southwest in the United States and Norwegian Air in Europe. Those carriers put pressure on fares, forcing other airlines to offer more seats at lower prices to compete for leisure travelers. Fewer flights by discount carriers mean less competition for other carriers, and less incentive to offer lower-priced seats on their planes."I think it certainly has the ability to pressure fares higher as we get into the busy summer months," said Helane Becker, airline analyst for Cowen.Uncertainty over when the Boeing 737 Max will be back in service has led airlines to cancel hundreds of flights a day all the way into August. Southwest canceled flights through August late last week, and American Airlines, the world's largest carrier, did the same on Sunday. The opposite happens when fuel prices are higher. A woman is in custody and a toddler is missing from Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, after the child's father said a rideshare driver abducted his daughter on Saturday evening, according to police documents and a news release.Paul Johnson said he was riding in a car with Lyft and Uber stickers with his daughter and a friend, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Allegheny County police.Johnson said that when he got out of the car and went to get his daughter out of the car seat, the driver drove away with the toddler, the complaint said. According to a report by the Centre for Aviation on Monday, airlines are running low on cash reserves as flights are either being canceled, or being flown with few passengers.
