(KGTV) – A powerful tribute to late actor Chadwick Boseman was unveiled this week at Downtown Disney in Anaheim.The mural shows Boseman exchanging the “Wakanda Forever” salute with a child wearing a Black Panther mask.Nikkolas Smith, a former Disney Imagineer who was on the set of the Black Panther film, created the new art installation called “King Chad.”The actor silently battled colon cancer for years, even while filming some of his major movies. He also visited children who were also fighting cancer.Boseman passed away on Aug. 28 at the age of 43.Smith said in a statement, “As a former Disney Imagineer, I had the honor of working on a major children's hospital initiative and Avengers Campus as my final two assignments. Seeing Chadwick's heart for people in-person, and later discovering his courageous battle with cancer, I was inspired to create this tribute to honor his life and legacy ... (KGTV) — Border officials say 19 people were rescued after the engine of the panga boat they were on caught fire near San Clemente Island this week.The shipwreck happened on Tuesday when a boat carrying 19 undocumented migrants became disabled just before 7 p.m. Four people abandoned the panga boat and swam to shore at Naval Auxiliary Landing Field on San Clemente Island.After the four people were questioned, they were identified as passengers on the panga boat and part of a human smuggling operation. The four people also indicated other passengers had paddled the damaged boat to the island's shore and got off.The next day, at about 6:30 a.m., a helicopter lifted to search for the remaining individuals, who were all found by about 5 p.m. The group consisted of 16 men and three women, all between the ages of 17 and 45, and all Mexican nationals illegally in the U.S. One man complained of abdominal pain and was taken to the Naval Air Station North Island, and then a local hospital for treatment. An additional four people were treated by border agents for minor injuries.Two men face human smuggling charges. The remaining individuals were turned over to Border patrol for processing. 1205

(KGTV) -- A man was arrested at a rest stop near Camp Pendleton after a woman called 911 to report that he kidnapped her during their date in Orange County.At around 12:30 a.m. Monday, the California Highway Patrol received an emergency call from a woman claiming she was on a date with a man in Costa Mesa when he allegedly took her against her will.According to the CHP, the pair were at a viewpoint off southbound Interstate 5 near the San Onofre Nuclear Station when she jumped out of the man’s pickup truck and called 911.As Camp Pendleton police and CHP officers responded to the incident, the man drove away. He later pulled over at a rest stop further down southbound I-5 and was taken into custody.No other information on the incident was immediately released. 777
