BEIJING, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- An official of China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Saturday that the ministry will consider taking possible actions in response to a ruling by the World Trade Organization (WTO) panel about a steel pipe trade dispute.

"Especially for Sri Lanka, which is in the post-war reconstruction, it needs to develop rapidly by being incorporated in a regional economic system," said the expert of the Sri Lankan government think tank.

Li said that the development of the China-Pakistan economic corridor had provided a strategic framework for the two countries to carry out practical cooperation. He expressed the wish that the two sides would further expand and deepen practical cooperation and jointly advance development of the economic corridor so as to benefit more people.

Further efforts should be made to tap the import potential, with more imports of advanced technology equipments, key parts and consumption goods, he added.

They reviewed reports on lawmakers' opinions about the national economic and social development plan and the central and local budgets, as well as draft resolutions on the two documents.
