Col. David Hamilton, Boeing Company aerodynamicist and aerospace engineer Robert Liebeck and Robert Gilliland, the first man to fly the SR-71 Blackbird. The museum launched the International Air & Space Hall of Fame in 1963 to honor pilots, inventors, engineers, space explorers and more who have made important contributions in the fields of Earth and space flight. Past inductees include air and space luminaries like Charles Lindbergh, Neil Armstrong, Chuck Yeager and Ellen Ochoa."We're especially pleased to honor this exemplary class of 2019 because these men and women are amongst the most talented figures in air and space history," museum President and CEO Jim Kidrick said. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego State University reported 25 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 1,072 since Aug. 24, the first day of instruction for the fall semester. The new totals reported by Student Health Services reflect numbers as of 6 p.m. Saturday.Of the students living on campus, 385 have tested positive and students living off-campus totaled 666 positive cases, health services said. A total of eight faculty or staff members have tested positive and 13 "visitors," people who have had exposure with an SDSU-affiliated individual, have tested positive. The number of confirmed cases was 1,030, with 42 probable cases. The information is based on cases reported to Student Health Services by an individual or by a public health official. As more private labs are administering tests, there is a possibility that not all cases are being reported to Student Health Services. For privacy reasons, SDSU does not report names, affiliations or health conditions of students, faculty or staff who test positive for COVID-19 unless a public health agency advises that there is a health and public safety benefit to reporting such details. 1176

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health posted a beach closure notice today at the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge and Border Field State Park due to water contamination.County officials said sewage-contaminated water flowing from the Tijuana River into U.S. waters represents a health hazard. Closure signs will remain posted in the affected areas until testing shows it's safe to go back into the water from Seacoast Drive to the U.S. Mexico Border. Access to Friendship Park at Border Field should also be avoided, officials say, as the park may also be affected by contaminated runoff.Residents seeking more information on beach and water contact closures can visit the county's website, sdbeachinfo.com, or call the county's 24-hour hotline at (619) 338-2073. 814
