The CDC is changing their recommendations for travelers, urging them to pay attention to local and state recommendations, and dropping their 14-day quarantine for international or out-of-state travelers. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated their travel requirements Friday, according to multiple media reports. They now advise travelers to "follow state, territorial, tribal and local recommendations or requirements after travel." Previously, the agency recommended a 14-day quarantine for those returning from international destinations or any area with a high concentration of coronavirus cases. The guidelines still urge travelers to limit their risk of infecting others by social distancing and wearing a mask. “You may feel well and not have any symptoms, but you can still spread COVID-19 to others," the CDC states on their website. There are still international travelers who are not allowed to enter the U.S. based on presidential proclamations. Foreign nationals who have spent time in these countries in the last 14 days before travel cannot enter the U.S.: China, Iran, United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, and most of Europe. U.S. citizens who travel to these countries can return to the U.S. through 15 airports according to the CDC. 1268

The Georgia Democratic Party and gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams' campaign filed a lawsuit in federal court Sunday asking for rejected absentee ballots and provisional ballots to be counted in the Georgia governor's race. The lawsuit challenges the rejection of more than 1,000 absentee ballots for missing information or mismatching information, like birth dates or addresses. The lawsuit also seeks relief for voters whose provisional ballots were rejected in Gwinnett and Dekalb counties, which are in the Atlanta metro area, because they are registered in a different county.CNN has not projected a winner in the race.Republican candidate Brian Kemp currently leads Abrams with 50.3% of the vote. If Kemp's share dips below 50%, the race automatically goes into a run-off on December 4, even if Kemp is the top vote-getter. For now, Kemp's lead stands at nearly 59,000 votes. 891

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is embarking on a rebranding effort of sorts. The church, commonly referred to as the Mormons, really wants people to stop using that word. It also wants people to stop using LDS as an abbreviation. From now on, it prefers that people use the church's full name, and when a shortened reference is needed, to just use "the Church" or "Church of Jesus Christ."These preferences are contained in a new style guide that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released Thursday. It states that while "the term 'Mormon Church' has long been publicly applied to the Church as a nickname, it is not an authorized title, and the Church discourages its use." It also asks that the term "Mormons" not be used in references to members. Also out: the word "Mormonism," which the style guide states is an "inaccurate" word to use to describe the "doctrine, culture and lifestyle unique to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." But the word Mormon is fine to use in proper names, like the Book of Mormon, or in historical expressions like the Mormon Trail. 1126
