CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) -- The Coronado Unified School District is mourning the loss of one of their most popular crossing guards. Bruce Campbell, or Mr. Bruce as the kids knew him, passed away on Monday. According to his brother, Bruce was at work Monday when he collapsed and had to be rushed to the hospital. Campbell went into cardiac arrest and passed away on his way to the hospital. Students and parents set up a memorial on the corner of Sixth and F Street, where he worked every day for the last several years. His brother tells 10News he died doing the job he loved most. In a statement, the district told the Coronado Times that school counselors will be working with students as needed. Bruce Campbell was 68 years old. 770
CVS is looking to hire pharmacists, nurses, and pharmacy technicians across the United States as they prepare to administer coronavirus vaccinations.The retail pharmacy chain announced Monday they plan to vaccinate millions in 2021, but to do that, they are urgently looking to hire extra staff to make that happen when vaccines are ready.CVS said they are also looking to hire infusion nurses, who provide high-end infusion therapy to adults and children of all ages – wherever they live, work, or travel, as well as registered nurses.In addition to those full-time positions, the company is also seeking temporary or temp-to-hire pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and nurses through its Contingent Workforce Program.CVS added that they are also looking for student pharmacy interns, who would be under a pharmacist's supervision to administer COVID-19 vaccines.CVS said they'd also offer pharmacy teams administering the vaccination in their long-term care facilities an additional Hero Pay. 1002

Colin Kaepernick will be featured in a documentary series produced by ESPN Films as part of a first-look deal with The Walt Disney Co. The deal between Kaepernick's production arm, Ra Vision Media, and The Walt Disney Company was announced Monday. “During this unprecedented time, The Walt Disney Company remains committed to creating diverse and inclusive content that resonates and matters," Bob Iger, Disney’s executive chairman said in a press release. "Colin’s experience gives him a unique perspective on the intersection of sports, culture, and race, which will undoubtedly create compelling stories that will educate, enlighten and entertain, and we look forward to working with him on this important collaboration."The partnership will focus on telling scripted and unscripted stories that explore race, social injustice, and the quest for equity. "I am excited to announce this historic partnership with Disney across all of its platforms to elevate Black and Brown directors, creators, storytellers, and producers, and to inspire the youth with compelling and authentic perspectives," Kaepernick said in the press release. Court documents show the white St. Louis couple who became internationally famous for standing guard with guns outside their mansion during a protest have pulled a weapon before in defense of their property. As demonstrators marched near the home of Mark and Patricia McCloskey on Sunday, video posted online showed him wielding a long-barreled gun and her with a small handgun. The McCloskeys and the trustees of Portland Place are involved in a legal dispute over a small piece of property. Mark McCloskey says in an affidavit in that case that they once pulled a gun on a trespasser. 594
