(AP) — Rapper Lil Wayne has pleaded guilty to a federal charge that he possessed a weapon despite being a convicted felon following a 2019 search of a private plane in the Miami area. The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, entered the plea Friday during a hearing held remotely before U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams. Williams set a Jan. 28 sentencing date. The charge carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years, but it's likely Carter would get less time. Shamika Burrage survived a near-fatal car accident two years ago, but not without losing something pretty important: her left ear.Now, thanks to a novel procedure performed at an Army medical center in Texas, Burrage is getting that ear back in a most unusual way.Plastic surgeons harvested cartilage from Burrage's ribs to create a new ear and then grew it under the skin of her forearm. Then the doctors at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso successfully transplanted the ear from her arm to her head.The technique -- a first time in the Army -- is called prelaminated forearm free flap, said Lt. Col. Owen Johnson III, chief of plastic and reconstructive surgery at William Beaumont Army Medical Center.Some of the big advantages of it is that it reduced the chance of more scarring around Burrage's ear. Cheese with your children in St. Petersburg, Florida last Friday, July 27, you would have found the popular kid's place closed.Inspectors found more than 130 rodent droppings all over the kitchen inside the restaurant.Rodent activity was evident after finding dozens of droppings near racks of food, the chest freezer, pizza oven, deli table, drink station, dishwashing area, water heater, hallways, and dry storage room, the state documented.Inspectors also found rodent rub marks and six holes in the walls and ceilings including near the front counter area and toy storage room. All holes were about four to six inches in diameter which might be how the rodents were getting inside the restaurant.Among the 29 other violations recorded in two days, the state found dead roaches and accumulation of food debris/grease on pizza pans, interior of the keg cooler, on the self-serve drink station, behind the ice chute and soda nozzle areas and iced tea dispenser spigots. There was also no certified food service manager on duty. Chuck E. Cheese's restroom toilets were also not working properly, according to the state, with three toilets out of service in both the boys and girls restrooms.  1303

SOMER, Wis. -- A couple from the Village of Somers, Wisconsin was forced to leave their home because of erosion.The house is teetering on the ground above Lake Michigan.Tom and Marge Lindgren were sitting in their kitchen last weekend when they heard a loud crash. "I heard a crash and jumped up. I looked out and the porch went crashing down.I ran up packed a bag and my wife packed a bag and we grabbed the dog and got outta here," said Lindgren. Shoreline erosion along Lake Michigan has been a problem for decades.Some homeowners invest in heavy rock barricades to fight the high waves.Lindgren received a 0,000 estimate to stabilize the bluff, but it's a price he can’t pay."I lived here as a kid.
