The famous castle is hosting five pool parties this summer at its Neptune and Roman Pools. Tickets are going on sale, but prices are steep. To buy tickets, you must first purchase an annual membership with the Foundation at Hearst Castle, which costs 0. Once you purchase the exclusive membership, you’ll be able to buy up to 10 tickets for a cool 0 each. If you can spare the cash, swim dates are set for July 6, August 4, August 24 and September 21 at the Neptune Poo. The Roman Pool will also host a swim on October 20. (KGTV) -- The controversial immigrant caravan is inching it's way closer to the San Diego border, with at least 132 people already in Tijuana. Many of the migrants plan to walk across the pedestrian bridge in San Ysidro and turn themselves in to the customs officers. The group of more than 600 has ridden trains and walked for miles to get to the United States - Mexico border.  Enrique Morones and his team - known as Border Angels - are sending supplies to Tijuana. "The Border Angels have been very supportive, we've had people on the caravan, we have been collecting items for the caravan," he said. "These people that are coming on a caravan are escaping a situation in their country that they're seeking refuge from. Let's welcome that stranger. Give me your poor, your tired your huddled masses."Jorge Nieto, a journalist following the immigrants' journey, says they have been arriving in Tijuana in small groups - 50 to 100 at a time.Nieto was told that once the whole group is together, they'll cross all at once. The caravan hasn't been without controversy.President Trump tweeted this week, saying he instructed the secretary of homeland security to keep the large caravan out of the U.S., and asked Mexico to keep the immigrants from going through the Country. RELATED: Migrant caravan heads to US-Mexico border "They're trying to escape something. Either hunger or violence or some sort of a war that's going on," Nieto said. "One of the reasons that they go in caravans is there's a power in groups. If you go as a group, then you're more secure."San Diegans For Secure Borders, a local group against the caravan, plans to stop the caravan when they arrive. In a Facebook group they created, they say that the "mass foreign invasion" must be stopped. In 2014, the same group went to Murrietta to stop buses of immigrant detainees from Texas. We reached out to them several times to find out what they plan on doing this week but did not get a response.  2031

(KGTV) -- Testimony will continue Tuesday in the preliminary exam for the suspected smuggler charged with murder after leading the border patrol on a wild, high speed chase that ended with the deaths of three of his passengers. It happened on westbound Interstate 8 near Boulevard on the evening of November 29th, 2018. Luis Virgen, 21, is a U.S. citizen who had been living in Tijuana at the time of the crash. He's charged with second degree murder and gross vehicular manslaughter. Virgen is accused of smashing through a gate that leads into the U.S. from Mexico with 10 undocumented immigrants in his truck, including 9 in the bed of the truck under a tarp. Everyone but the driver was thrown from the truck when it crashed after hitting a spike strip deployed by the border patrol. Gregg Curtis testified that after the truck blew past him, he started shooting video with his cellphone in case something happened. Curtis can be heard talking under the cellphone video, which was played in court Monday. "I wouldn't be surprised if he totally crashes his brains out," said Curtis. He also testified about how fast the defendant was going."I was alarmed at a vehicle passing me at such a large rate of speed that it shook my truck," said Rieu. The border patrol received some criticism following the incident, some questioning why they didn't call off the chase given the wet roads and dangerous conditions at the time. Several agents testified that they had no idea that the truck's bed was hiding several undocumented immigrants. Another agent described how he tried to revive the victims. "Another individual, I cradled his head, he was moaning and groaning, and I told him he was going to be fine that it was just a scratch and to stay awake," said Agent Jahir Waterman. If convicted on all counts, Virgen could spend 45 years to life in prison. 1970

“Caught on camera” moments are fun to watch.  They can also be important evidence when they show people breaking the law.Radius Security in Vancouver, Canada, has developed new technology to help police catch suspected criminals in the act."Every single night we are getting one or two apprehensions on one of our sites across the country," said Joel Luyt, a site security specialist with Radius Security.“We have 15 computers inside our unit,” said Luyt.  Radius Security’s cameras use those computers to scan for humans.  The technology disregards other things that might move, like tree branches, animals and rain, that would normally set off a false alarm."So they're looking for oscillating arms. They're looking for head movement, torso and they're deciphering, 'is that a human?'"  said Luyt.By reducing the number of false alarms, more officers are available to respond to an actual crime.Car dealerships and construction companies hire Radius Security to keep watch for burglars, who can make off with expensive spools of wire or copper tubing worth thousands of dollars.Bernie Godler runs Performance Construction and says the new technology has proven more reliable and cut down on false alarms."A full-time manned security gets very expensive. It seems that you know, having a full-time manned security would actually be better but it isn't because we're finding that we get guards that end up falling asleep on the job site. We actually had one job where the manned security was in cahoots with the people who were stealing the stuff off the job site," said Godler.A study said false alarms cost the U.S. nearly billion dollars.  94 percent of alarms turned out to be false, tying up valuable police time when there is no burglar.Radius says it helps police capture the bad guy, like one man who hid in a porta potty, about 60 percent of the time. This technology also lets the security company route a live feed from the security camera to law enforcement's cars."They can punch in a four-digit code into their vehicle while they're driving to the site and they can see live what our monitoring station is seeing so they'll know where the criminal is on the site and they'll see what he is doing live on video and get there in an even faster time.,” said Luyt.Right now, this technology runs upwards of ,000 a year, which is too expensive for many.  But, Luyt expects that eventually, the computer system will get smaller and be more cost-effective to keep your home safe.The company plans to expand this year to the United States, both in San Francisco and Chicago. 2639
