ADRIAN, Mich. -- Police are investigating after an 85-year-old man was stabbed to death at a Meijer store in Michigan Wednesday afternoon. The suspect was arrested after a person with a concealed pistol license (CPL) intervened and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.The deadly incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Much of the details surrounding the incident are still being investigated.However, police say the victim was stabbed multiple times in the head and neck, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was a resident of Lenawee County. The suspect, who is in police custody, is a 29-year-old resident of Adrian.If you have information on what happened, contact Det. Sgt. Aldon Smith, who was the NFC's Defensive Player of the Year, has a warrant out for his arrest on Monday after a possible domestic incident from the weekend, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Smith is wanted on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence, assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, false imprisonment and vandalism, the Chronicle reported. Earlier the in the day, the Oakland Raiders released Smith. The incident in question was reportedly Saturday evening, and the victim identified Smith as the suspect. TMZ reported that Smith checked into a rehab facility on Monday. Smith has had frequent encounters with law enforcement. The Chronicle reported that Smith has three previous DUI arrests. He was also arrested in June 2012 when illegal weapons were found at his house during a party where two people were shot, and he was stabbed.  908

A woman who was seen slapping a police officer as she was carried out of a University of Miami football game has been charged with felony battery on a police officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, the Associated Press reported. According to Local 10, Miami-Dade Metro Police received the video shortly after Saturday's incident, and was in the process of investigating. In the video, Bridget Freitas, who was dressed in a Miami Hurricanes shirt, was being carried away by several police officers. She than slapped one of the officers in the face. The officer then responded by delivering a huge punch to the woman's face, to the surprise of the crowd. Video of the incident quickly spread Saturday night on social media.   770
