Hotels are still struggling to fill rooms like they were before an avalanche of cancellations starting in March.Now, travelers are slowly returning to train stations, airports, and hotels.“This is something that none of us were expecting or were prepared for,” said Daniel del Olmo, the President and COO of Sage Hotel Management, a Sage Hospitality Group company. Genetic testing company 23andMe has been given federal approval to sell at-home kits that test for three breast cancer gene mutations.This will be the first direct-to-consumer DNA test for these particular breast cancer gene mutations, the Food and Drug Administration said on Tuesday.A spokeswoman for 23andMe said the test for the three BRCA1/BRCA2 breast cancer gene mutations will be added "in the coming weeks" to the broader Health + Ancestry services, with no increase to the existing 9 cost.The test can only detect three out of more than 1,000 known BRCA mutations, according to the FDA. From 2000 through 2018, 459 children have died from accidental furniture tip overs, which are preventable fatalities that can be stopped by anchoring furniture to a wall.In response, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission is launching a public service announcement campaign called "Even When You're Watching.” The campaign will show the dangers of leaving furniture unanchored. The campaign includes “terrifying” footage of tip overs caught on video.In addition to the number of fatalities, the CPSC estimates that every 43 minutes, a child is injured by furniture tipping over."Even when adults are in the same room with children, dangerous tip-overs can occur," said CPSC acting chairman Robert Adler. "Many parents and caregivers do not know about this hidden hazard, or believe that they can prevent a tip-over by watching their children, but these incidents still happen.
