A storm system causing severe weather Sunday along the Gulf Coast is forecast to move off the East Coast, turn into a nor'easter and threaten the Northeastern United States on Monday night into Tuesday.The storm's exact path remains a bit uncertain, but the system will bring precipitation and wind in what will be the third significant winter storm in the past 10 days.A winter storm watch is in effect for 8.5 million people in New England, including residents of Boston and Portland, Maine. The National Weather Service Boston estimated 6 to 8 inches of snow for parts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.New York, Philadelphia and Washington are only under a hazardous weather outlook at this time. The next forecast update will come at 8 p.m. on Sunday.The American model forecasts heavy snowfall for areas of New England and upstate New York, whereas the European model shows less snowfall. Still, both models agree there will be more snow on the way for the Northeast.If the nor'easter tracks closer to the coast, then stronger winds and coastal flooding may become issues as well.Last weekend, a powerful nor'easter that morphed into a "bomb cyclone" slammed much of the Northeast with heavy snow and rain, hurricane-force wind gusts, and significant coastal flooding. The storm left six people dead from falling trees, and about 900,000 people lost electrical power.As residents were still digging out from that snow, a second storm hit the Northeast late last week. The storm dropped heavy, wet snow in areas west of Interstate 95, leaving feet of snow in some areas. A viral video showing security camera footage taken in Chula Vista on Halloween night may help restore your faith in the honor system. Kim Manalo's family joined the throngs of trick-or-treaters racing door-to-door in their neighborhood.  Manalo wanted to keep the spirit of Halloween alive at her home while they were out, so, she left a bowl filled with candy outside their door with a note asking people to help themselves.  Her hope was that people would leave a treat for the next candy-seeker."We came home to an empty bowl and hoped there weren't greedy kids that didn't leave some behind for others," Manalo wrote on her post.She studied security footage to see if perhaps someone grabbed more than their share of goodies. What Manalo found on her security camera video was a surprise that almost made her cry."Instead we found this clip of a wonderful soul who shared some candy from his own bag to keep the halloween spirit going for other kids," Manalo wrote.RELATED: Meet the boy whose generous act went viralThe video shows one of the boys reach into his bag and place some of his own candy in the bowl for the next trick-or-treaters. “He didn't even know the camera was there,” Manalo said. “None of his friends knew and to take that second out of his time from his own stuff just really warmed my heart.”10News posted the surveillance video on Facebook after Manalo's friend shared the footage with reporter Joe Little.  The video has garnered hundreds of reactions, shares, and comments."If only all of us raised our children to be so thoughtful even when no one is seemingly looking. A UPS driver in Clackamas County, Oregon called his wife who then called 911 after he heard cries of "help" coming from inside a residence while the driver was on his route. It turns out that the UPS driver was tricked by a parrot. The incident took place Monday evening, according to the Oregonian. The Oregonian reported that the UPS driver became distressed over what sounded like a human's cry for help. He then called his wife, who then called 911, alerting authorities to the screams. Deputy Hayden Sanders responded to the scene, expecting it to be tense. But thankfully, within minutes, Sanders had a reason to laugh. Sanders confirmed that Diego the parrot was behind the screams. After concluding that everyone, including Diego, was safe, Sanders posed for a photo with the mischievous parrot. The photo was then posted on the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.  929

A Tempe woman was arrested after her infant daughter ate mac and cheese with THC butter in it. Tempe police report that early Thursday morning, after receiving a report from the Arizona Department of Child Safety, they arrested 25-year-old Alaina Marie Limpert at her home.Police say on Tuesday, Limpert's 1-year-old daughter ate mac and cheese made with butter containing tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, which is the chemical in cannabis that gets you high. A witness reportedly told investigators that Limpert "laughed about the side effects the child experienced." Limpert later put the child in the cold water of the backyard pool to "shock" her, court documents said.Hospital officials later confirmed that they found THC in the infant's system. Inside the home, police report they found two marijuana grow tents, psilocybin mushrooms and many containers of hash oil with business cards attached to them. Limpert was arrested on one count of child abuse. 1000
