This week countless photographs have offered close-up depictions of the destruction caused by California wildfires. Now, with the help of its satellites, NASA has released pictures giving a different perspective.NASA's Landsat 8 satellite captured this first image of the Camp Fire on the morning of November 8, just a few hours after the blaze had broken out. That fire grew quickly, torching 20,000 acres in less than 14 hours. At one point, it grew by a average of more than one football field every three seconds.The fire in the picture is highlighted, and beneath that smoke the flames are encroaching on the northern California community of Paradise, where it's estimated that up to 90% of homes have been destroyed.The second image, captured by NASA's Terra satellite, gives a better sense of the scope of the Camp Fire in relation to the state. There are thousands of suitcases in Ocean City over the summer, but police found one packed with something unusual on Tuesday. According to Lt. Schreier of the Worcester County Sherriff’s office, a couple stumbled over a trunk in the water in West Ocean City at Homer Gudelsky Park. Inside they found personal objects like shoes and pottery as well as one or two bones. Maryland State Police, Maryland Natural Resources Police and the Worcester County Sheriff's Office are on the beach investigating, and a dive team was trying to pull the trunk from the water in hopes of reserving anything that could be evidence.  664

(AP) — Authorities say a man has been arrested in Southern California after deputies found about 800 pounds of stolen lemons inside his car.Riverside County sheriff's officials say 69-year-old Dionicio Fierros was arrested Friday on suspicion of theft of agricultural products.Deputies were investigating recent farm thefts when they stopped Fierros' car in Thermal on Friday morning.Inside his car, deputies say they found several large bags of freshly picked lemons they believe were stolen from a nearby farm.A telephone number for Fierros could not be located in public records and it wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney who could comment on the allegations. 697
