SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating after a teenager was shot in San Diego’s Linda Vista neighborhood Thursday afternoon. According to police, a 17-year-old boy was walking with a 16-year-old girl near the 6900 block of Linda Vista Road around 12:30 p.m. Police say a silver sedan pulled up beside the pair and someone inside shot the 17-year-old in the stomach. The teen suffered minor injuries, according to police, who said he was uncooperative.Police say, during the shooting, the teens ducked behind a car in the area. The vehicle was heavily damaged. San Diego Police say officers searched a neighborhood near Tecolote Canyon for the suspect. Witnesses stated they saw five men driving away in a gray or light colored vehicle. 750

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One of San Diego's most popular taco stops plans to expand across the county.City Tacos, which started in 2014 in North Park and added a La Mesa location in 2017, is preparing to open in four more locations around San Diego County. The shop is heading to Imperial Beach, Encinitas, Pacific Beach, and the Sorrento Valley area, according to City Tacos owner Gerald Torres."We've been expanding as rapidly as we can while being responsible," Torres said, noting when he used to open a store, he did so, "quietly and let people trickle in and take care of them."RELATED: List: San Diego's best Mexican restaurantsThe opening of the Imperial Beach location, however, will see a bit of a different welcoming. Free tacos will be given to the first 200 customers during its opening. In IB, the location will partner with local craft brewery Mike Hess to feature a 6,500-square-foot taco shop and beer garden just steps from the beach on Ocean Lane. Customers can expect many of the delicious taco creations found at other City Tacos locations, with the added benefit of pairing them with Mike Hess brews.To open, the IB stop will also offer tacos from local IB Street Tacos, including the carnitas, pollo asado and cameron enchilada tacos. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police identified the man suspected of a sexual assault in a Mission Beach alley as 40-year old Philemon Shark from Seattle. According to San Diego police, a 24-year old woman was walking by herself on Bayside Lane around 8:45 a.m. on Sunday when Shark attacked her. The woman screamed for help, and several residents ran out and stopped Shark before he ran away.Officers caught up to him in a breezeway and took him into custody. Shark was booked on felony sexual assault charges and outstanding warrants from Washington state, according to police.Police said Shark had been in San Diego for a few months before the assault. 653

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Opponents of  San Diego's new short-term rental regulations are accusing the city council of violating the Brown Act when it passed the new rules earlier this month. A letter drafted by an attorney on behalf of Air B and B, Home Away and Share San Diego was sent to the council Monday. It alleges the council violated the law when it made significant changes to the original proposal up for approval and then voted without allowing for more public comment. What they passed would essentially ban people from renting out anything other than their primary residence or a guesthouse on their property. The opponents are asking the council to hold another hearing. The city council is scheduled to hear a second reading of the short-term rental regulations Wednesday, August 1.  852
