CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Chula Vista Police identified Tuesday a man and woman who were shot by the woman’s ex-boyfriend in a deadly domestic violence dispute near a Costco. The incident happened Monday afternoon while Angelina Perez, 32 and Samuel Valdez, 31, were loading groceries in the trunk of their vehicle in the parking lot of the store on Broadway with their infant daughter in a stroller. Sean Illian, 48, approached them with a gun and opened fire, hitting Perez and Valdez several times, police said. The baby was not hurt.Witnesses in the parking lot saw Illian shoot himself in the head. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. (KGTV) — Aquatica San Diego and Chula Vista police are warning trespassers after ABC 10News obtained video showing people inside the closed waterpark riding skateboards on some of their attractions.The clip starts with individuals climbing over barbed wire fencing surrounding the theme park. The group is seen casually walking the grounds of the park then skateboarding on water slides, including the six-story funnel ride Tassie's Twister.The 19-second video appeared on the social media app TikTok on May 19 and has been viewed more than 1.1 million times.10News showed the video to Aquatica, who confirmed there have been trespassing incidents recently. The park added that they have notified police and trespassers will face consequences."While Aquatica is temporarily closed because of COVID-19, the park is monitored 24/7. Our security team has caught trespassers in the park and notified the Chula Vista Police Department. Citations have been issued because trespassing is a misdemeanor crime. (KGTV) - Two girls were hit and injured by a pickup truck in Chula Vista Monday afternoon, officers said.The crash happened about 3:45 p.m. on East H Street at Terra Nova Drive, just east of Interstate 805. The location is near a shopping center with a Taco Bell and Jack in the Box, and Clear View Elementary School. Ambulances rushed the girls, who appeared to be teenagers, to Rady Children’s Hospital. They were both conscious, according to Chula Vista Police.The driver of the silver Toyota Tacoma who hit the girls stopped, police said. There was no immediate report that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.A witness told police the driver had the green light at the time of the crash.10News is monitoring breaking developments. 771

(KGTV) — Sheriff's deputies were led on a wild chase through the South Bay Saturday, ending with a violent crash and three people injured, including a deputy.San Diego Sheriff's deputies were called to a report of a suspect burglarizing a vehicle in the area of 13th St. and Donax Ave. in Imperial Beach just before 10 a.m. When they arrived, the man took off and led deputies on a vehicle pursuit into San Ysidro.During the pursuit, deputies say the suspect hit a female driver on Dairy Mart Rd. before continuing northbound on Interstate 5, onto side streets in Chula Vista, and back onto NB I-5. At times, the driver reached speeds of 100 mph, deputies say.The woman was not injured, SDSO said.The pursuit came to an end when the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a bridge at the top of the H St. offramp. A deputy involved in the pursuit crashed into another vehicle at the top of the offramp as well. Both the deputy and that driver were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.The crash was so intense, it rained vehicle wreckage on the freeway below and damaged a woman's windshield. Bridge railings and fencing were also damaged, SDSO said.The suspect fled on foot from the crash, heading down the H St. offramp and onto the shoulder of I-5 before deputies captured him. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries. 1393
