That allegation was made by an Italian model-actress who claims Weinstein raped her in 2013 at a hotel while she was in town for an Italian film festival.Police in New York and London have said they are investigating allegations of sexual assault involving Weinstein as well.As for Toback, 38 women recently emerged to report years of perverted and creepy behavior by the director whose credits include "The Pick-up Artist" and "Black & White." Good Samaritans and authorities rescued a couple in their 70s whose vehicle crashed into a Long Island canal following a collision with another vehicle Monday.Police say it happened when a Ford pickup truck and a Subaru were involved in a motor vehicle crash at Venetian Promenade and Montauk Highway in Suffolk County, New York. When the Subaru backed up following the crash, police say it collided with a Mercury.The Mercury crashed through a fence and fell into a canal.Video shows the moment the car was partially submerged in the water.Five good Samaritans and two Suffolk County police officers jumped into the water to rescue the couple.Joseph Abitabile, 78, was driving the Mercury. He was rescued from the vehicle, along with his wife, Delores, 76, who was unconscious.An off-duty Lake Success police officer administered CPR, restoring the woman's pulse and breathing back to normal.The Abitabiles, one good Samaritan, the two Suffolk County officers and the driver of the Subaru were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (AP) — Police in Texas say the actor Eddie Hassell has died in a shooting.The 30-year-old was known for his roles in the NBC show “Surface” and the 2010 film “The Kids Are All Right.”Police say the shooting happened early Sunday in the Dallas suburb of Grand Prairie.Officers responded to the shooting in the 3000 block of West Bardin Road at about 1:50 a.m. and located Hassell suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. First aid was rendered as the Waco resident was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.Police say they don't yet have a motive, but that a car had been taken from the scene of the shooting. No arrests have been made, but police said the car has since been recovered.Investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect(s) involved.
