CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - One of San Diego County’s most spectacular signs of spring, the Carlsbad Flower Fields, is blooming in an explosion of color that opens to the public in March. The rows of ranunculus, roses, orchards, sweet pea blossoms, and petunias are set on 50 acres with an ocean view east of Interstate 5. Visitors can tour the fields for photo opportunities or take part in one of dozens of special events. The admission price includes a sweet pea maze, theme gardens, and water wise farming exhibits. Tours and wagon rides are available for an additional fee. This year’s ticketed event lineup includes workouts like Flower Flow Yoga and Barre and Bloom, DIY classes including succulent gardens, basket weaving, painting, and flower arranging, concerts, and food truck days. CEDAR PARK, TX — Three police officers were shot Sunday while responding to a call in Cedar Park, Texas, according to police.The three officers suffered non-fatal injuries while responding to the call on Sunday afternoon and are currently stable at a local hospital.The shooting began an hours-long standoff that lasted throughout the evening on Sunday and well into Monday morning. Two hostages were released from the home on Monday morning at about 8 a.m. CT. About an hour later, a third hostage and the suspect emerged from the home peacefully.Preliminary information obtained by ABC News says the incident started as a domestic dispute. 650

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (KGTV) -- One Marine was killed and six others injured in a rollover during a training exercise at Camp Pendleton Thursday morning. The rollover happened around 9 a.m. Thursday and involved a light armored vehicle. The six Marines injured in the crash were taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered serious. The Marines are from the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, according to officials. The cause of the rollover is under investigation. None of the Marines have been identified. 558
