WASHINGTON — U.S. health regulators posted a positive review of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine as they near a decision on whether to allow use of the shot. The review posted online Tuesday by the Food and Drug Administration offers the world the first detailed look at the evidence behind the shot, which was co-developed with BioNTech. WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans are proposing changes to police procedures and accountability, according to a draft of a bill obtained by The Associated Press.The JUSTICE Act — Just and Unifying Solutions To Invigorate Communities Everywhere Act of 2020 — would establish an enhanced use-of-force database, restrictions on chokeholds and new training and commissions to study law enforcement and race.In addition to the use-of-force database, the JUSTICE Act would also begin tracking — but would not ban — the use of no-knock warrants. Trump's order calls on police departments to utilize social workers in some emergency calls. (KGTV) — A double shooting in North County has left one woman dead and a man hospitalized Saturday.A caller reported two people suffering from gunshot wounds, one was not breathing, at a home in the 1800 block of Hartwright Road just before 7 a.m., according to San Diego County Sheriff's Department.Deputies and Vista Fire personnel arrived to find one woman with a traumatic gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A man suffering from a suspected gunshot wound was transported to a nearby hospital with "severe" injuries, deputies say. Deputies said his prognosis is unknown.The San Diego County Medical Examiner has not released the identity of the woman pending family notification.
