(WFTX)  -- A Florida woman got creative with spare spray paint and plywood and made a sign to get the power company's attention.“I thought that all of my neighbors would get a huge kick out of it,” said Kynse Agles.She posed for a photo next to her pink sign that reads, “Hot single female seeks sexy lineman to electrify her life.”Just days before she posted the sign outside her Fort Myers home, Agles went under the knife for a kidney transplant. “My hurricane story started with a double organ transplant at Tampa General Hospital,” she said.Agles had to stay in air conditioning in order to avoid complications from her procedure. “I found a place to stay that had electricity and have been jumping from bed to couch,” she said.Then a light bulb went off in her head.“I saw a post on Facebook and I thought it was really funny and I can do it better,” she said. “I just thought maybe if a lineman got to my neighborhood they’ll laugh and hook me up first,” she added.Her sign did catch the attention of linemen. After they restored her power, they took a picture behind the sign and left a note.“Big shout-out for everyone who is working to get the power restored, because it’s so hot out there,” she said.She’s just happy not have to ride any more couches.“I haven’t slept in my bed in 20 nights, so I’m really excited to sleep tonight,” she said.Agles might even loan it to some of her other neighbors who are still without power. “My neighbor across the street doesn't have power yet, I told him he can borrow my sign later.” 1578

Former Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, a Republican, blasted President Donald Trump in an op-ed for the Detroit Free Press published Thursday morning and said he will be voting for Democrat Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.In his writing, Snyder explains that he has remained a lifelong Republican and will still support Republican candidates, but will not support the president."President Trump lacks a moral compass. He ignores the truth," Snyder wrote, after calling Trump a bully.Snyder talked about the economy's growth during Trump's first term as president and said some reforms have been helpful but called his tax reform a "failure.""It didn't have real long-term value, enriched large corporations and violated the basic principles of good tax reform to be simple, fair and efficient," Snyder wrote.According to Snyder, not supporting the president isn't the same thing as voting for Joe Biden.Snyder then went on to describe his interactions with Biden when Biden was vice president."My interactions were always constructive and respectful. Florida Republican Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a pair of letters Sunday taking issue with the lack of criminal investigations tied to the state's elections after the Florida Department of State said it found no allegations of criminal activity.The letters -- one issued to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the other to the Department of State -- came two days after the state law enforcement agency announced it had no active investigations related to the election and had been informed by the Department of State there were no allegations of criminal activity.Despite the lack of any criminal allegations referred by the Department of State, Bondi said law enforcement should look into election activities in two key counties and directed Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Rick Swearingen "to take the necessary steps to promote public safety and to ensure that our state will guarantee integrity in our elections process." 968

For the first time, accused Waffle House gunman Travis Reinking has broken his silence.Reinking has been accused of murdering four people and injuring four others in a mass shooting at the Antioch, Tennessee restaurant last month.  Four people – 29-year-old Taurean Sanderlin, of Goodlettsville; 20-year-old Joe Perez, of Nashville; 21-year-old DeEbony Groves, of Gallatin; and 23-year-old Akilah DaSilva, of Antioch – were killed. Reinking was arrested the next day after a massive manhunt, booked into the jail and then he decided he wanted to talk.  He's locked up and undergoing a mental evaluation. In an exclusive interview, Reinking breaks his silence about his case. He called reporter Nick Beres at Scripps station WTVF  from maximum security at the Davidson County Jail. Reinking said he wanted to talk about his case, his mental health and his lawyers.  "About what I'm thinking and what I, I'd like to say on my behalf and stuff like that," Reinking said. In the days after his arrest, Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall talked about Reinking's behavior and compared him to another accused mass shooter in the jail. That would be Emanuel Samson, who's charged with killing one person last year at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ, also in Antioch. "I would use the word a little bit more normal for this one compared to the Emanuel [Samson] case, as it relates to interaction. That's probably the word that's been used the most," Hall said at the time.  Since Reinking's arrest, many have wondered if he will try using the insanity defense. When asked about his mental fitness he said, "Yeah, no… I'm perfectly healthy."  As for the shooting at the Waffle House? He wasn't ready to talk about that. "I'd rather not in the setting I'm at right now," Reinking said. But he did talk about his pending criminal case. Reinking has two appointed lawyers, but he said he plans to handle his own legal defense. "That's the thing, I'm choosing to represent myself. I don't know how that works. I didn't like those attorneys," Reinking said. He will likely address that at his next court appearance on June 1.
