A former model has come forward with an allegation that President Donald Trump sexually assaulted her in his VIP suite at the U.S. Open tennis tournament in 1997.Former model Amy Dorris told The Guardian that the then-real estate tycoon "shoved his tongue down my throat" and then grabbed her buttocks and breasts despite her denial of his advances.According to The Guardian, Trump's personal lawyers denied the accusation "in the strongest possible terms." Several people close to Dorris, including her mother, her friend and a therapist, told the newspaper that Dorris had told them of the alleged assault either immediately after the incident happened or in the years since.Dorris also provided The Guardian with several photos of her, her then-boyfriend Jason Binn and Trump at the tennis tournament. The White House has not yet responded to media requests for comment about The Guardian's report.According to the newspaper, Dorris was in New York in 1997 with Binn, a friend of Trump's. At the time, Trump was married to his second wife, Marla Maples.During the tournament, Dorris got up from her seat to use the restroom because she was having trouble with her contact lenses. When she was finished in the bathroom, she says she found Trump waiting outside the door.At that point, Dorris says Trump forced himself on her "after a brief exchange." She allegedly told Trump, "no, please stop," but said he "didn't care.""I just kind of was in shock," Dorris told The Guardian. "I felt violated, obviously. But I still wasn't processing it and just was trying to go back to talking to everyone and having a good time because, I don't know, I felt pressured to be that way."Dorris also claims while she wasn't sure if she got specific about the incident with her boyfriend, she later told Binn that he had to "do something" about Trump because he was "all over her."Dorris spent the next few days with Binn in New York, and saw Trump several more times during her trip. She said Trump did not make any more physical moves but continued to pursue her with leading questions.Dorris told The Guardian that she continued to stay in New York because she hadn't fully processed what had happened."I was there from Florida and I was with Jason. I had no money, nowhere to go. We were going from event to event and it was overwhelming," Dorris told The Guardian. "People spend years around people who have abused them, that's what happens when something traumatic happens, you freeze."The allegation is just the latest assault allegation made against Trump in recent years. Trump is currently facing two lawsuits regarding assault allegations, and several women came forward prior to the 2016 election to formally accuse Trump of assault. During that election cycle, a video leaked in which Trump boasted about sexually assaulting women.Dorris considered coming forward in 2016 with her allegation but decided to remain silent for her family's safety. But according to The Guardian, she wants to be a role model for her 13-year-old twin daughters."I want them to see that I didn't stay quiet, that I stood up to somebody who did something that was unacceptable," Dorris told The Guardian. 3189

A Japanese marketing company is giving its employees a very attractive reason to stay away from cigarettes.Piala Inc., based in Tokyo, made the decision last month to give non-smoking employees an extra six paid days off every year. Their reasoning? To balance out the time smoking employees spend away from their desks on cigarette breaks each day.According to the Japan Times, Piala CEO Takao Asuka said the idea came from an employee comment box submission at its office.“I hope to encourage employees to quit smoking through incentives rather than penalties or coercion,” Asuka?told the Japan Times. He was likely contrasting his approach with that of fellow Japanese company Lawson Inc., which recently banned all employees at its corporate headquarters from smoking during the work day.Since Piala introduced the measure, four employees have quit smoking, according to London's The Telegraph.Smoking is a major issue in Japan, with the country ranking among the world's highest in terms of smoking rates, according to the Washington Post.Clint Davis is a reporter for the Scripps National Desk. A church in the Charlotte, North Carolina, area is confronting a massive COVID-19 outbreak.According to the Mecklenburg County Public Health, there have been 68 confirmed COVID-19 cases potentially connected with convocation events held at the United House of Prayer For All People. The events were held from October 4 to 11.Among the 68 confirmed cases, there have been four hospitalizations and two fatalities. Six of the confirmed cases were among residents of an assisted living facility. In response, public health officials have been attempting to conduct contact tracing to identify other possible cases. As of Wednesday, there were 94 close contacts that public health officials were attempting to reach.Complicating matters, Deputy Health Director Dr. Raynard Washington said that several attendees traveled from abroad.Churches have been a concern for public health officials since the start of the pandemic, prompting many religious institutions to have online or outdoor services amid the pandemic.Another major church-related outbreak was reported in Ohio during the summer. Fifty-three attendees became infected with the coronavirus in July prompting concern from Gov. Mike DeWine.Early in the pandemic in March, according to the CDC, 53 members of a Skagit County, Washington, church choir who participated in a March 10 practice had a confirmed or probably case of the coronavirus.“The act of singing, itself, might have contributed to transmission through emission of aerosols, which is affected by loudness of vocalization,” the CDC said. 1563

A Las Vegas, Nevada woman says she wants out of her apartment lease after a series of unexplained events.Terri Bell says she moved into her Patriots Place Apartment in December 2017 located near Flamingo and Pecos Road. She signed a 12-month lease but soon after she moved in she claims strange things started to happen."At first, I thought maybe it was just my daughter or my grandkids moving through the house," said Bell.Bell says she finally had enough when an object in her apartment moved without explanation. Bell claims a new bottle of bleach came off a shelf and hit a near by wall."It got outrageous, lights were going on and off," said Bell. "Behind the sofa, there's an outlet where sparks flew and fire shout out of it!" explained Bell.Bell enlisted the help of a Catholic priest, a pastor and a paranormal investigator to look into her apartment.KTNV television station in Las Vegas spoke to Pastor Tony Peoples from the Genesis II Christian Center and he confirms he visited the apartment and sensed something was out of the ordinary.Psychic medium Tena Evans along with Paranormal Task Force was contacted to conduct an investigation."Our monitors were hitting max and that is unusual," said Evans.Evans says a team of people inspected the apartment and found evidence of possible paranormal activity."What you do have to be is a skeptic going into a job like this," explained Evans. You just can't assume it's going to be a spirit and you are going to capture it," said Evans.Evans says voice and sound recordings did not capture anything unusual during the investigation."We have to look for electrical problems or certain plumbing problems," said Evans. However, photos taken within the apartment show possible signatures of paranormal evidence, according to Evans."Orbs are sometimes just dust, it can be anything, different lights, whatever is going on," said Evans. "These orbs are big and it is evident that this is not something that the camera or lighting, or dust is creating," said Evans.Evans believes the phenomenon are associated with the land and not the building.KTNV consulted with Mark Hall-Patton, who is the administrator for Clark County Museum and expert on Clark County History about the parcel of land."There wasn't a lot going on," said Hall-Patton about the area going back as far as ancient times.Indigenous people likely avoided the desolate and arid landscape in favor or more accessible water sources and fertile farming land, according to Hall-Patton.Hall-Patton points to maps, satellite views and deeds dating back to 1970 which shows the lot was vacant."It's a fairly anonymous little chunk of land that didn't develop until relatively recently," added Hall-Patton.Hall-Patton says there was no significant historical event that occurred on the property.Bell began using black salt, sage and various types of crystals to keep her unit nice and quiet.Ultimately, Bell would like to move out of her apartment. Contact 13 reviewed the lease and it did not contain an option to break the contract early for her situation.Apartment ownership, Accessible Space, Inc., said there is likely a plausible and mechanical explanation for the strange occurrences. A spokesperson tells KTNV the building is new and still under warranty. Power problems, odors and unfamiliar noises are common in new buildings but management will have the general contractor investigate the claims to make sure everything is in order. The building's ownership says they will work with Bell to make sure she understands her options. 3615
