(KGTV) -- Four off-duty marines along with a rescue team rescued a hiker having a medical emergency on a hiking trail near Los Angeles Sunday.According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a team received the rescue call around 4 p.m. Sunday near Switzer Falls.When the rescue team arrived, they found four off-duty marines from Camp Pendleton who had run into the hiker and carried him upstream for a quicker rescue.Officials say the hiker wasn’t injured and was taken to the hospital to recover.Watch he rescue video in the player below:  581

After Florida's voter registration site crashed just hours before the deadline, voters in the Sunshine State have until 7 p.m. Tuesday night to get registered to vote in the 2020 general election.Tuesday morning, Florida's Secretary of State, Laurel Lee, released a statement saying that she met with Florida Gov. Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley was active on social media on Thursday looking for help locating her and husband's niece Alaina Housley who was presumably at the California bar where a gunman killed 12 before taking his own life. Late Thursday morning, the couple confirmed to NBC News that Alaina Housley was among the 12 killed. "Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks," the couple said in a joint statement to NBC. "Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (AP) — A single-engine airplane has crash-landed and burned on a Southern California freeway.The Los Angeles County Fire Department says the plane struck the center divider of U.S. 101 and the pilot was removed from the craft without injury early Tuesday afternoon.No vehicles were involved in the crash about 30 miles (48 kilometers) west of downtown Los Angeles.The aircraft appeared to be a vintage propeller plane with World War II-era German air force markings.The crash snarled traffic on U.S. 101, a major California highway. 561
