 American Apparel is coming back.Gildan Activewear, the Canadian company that owns the clothing brand, announced on Thursday that it will open a physical American Apparel store in Los Angeles this fall.American Apparel filed for bankruptcy in 2016. This will be the first location to open since May 2017, when Gildan finished liquidating the stores that were still open. Gildan is not planning to open others."We're treating this as a flagship pilot store," said Garry Bell, vice president of corporate marketing and communications for Gildan. He said the store will be "very experiential and very interactive," but did not provide details.The news was reported earlier by Bloomberg.Before the liquidation, American Apparel had 110 stores in the United States and a total of 193 locations worldwide, according to a court filing.Gildan, which also owns the tights brands Peds and Kushyfoot, purchased the American Apparel trademark after the company filed for bankruptcy. Then it relaunched American the brand online in the United States in August 2017.Several retail stores have recently declared bankruptcy as shoppers increasingly move online. Last year, US store closing announcements more than tripled and set a record, according to the retail think tank Fung Global Retail and Technology.Bon-Ton Stores, one of the country's largest department store companies, said in April that it plans to liquidate all 256 of its stores, which include Bon-Ton, Boston Store and Carson's. In March, Toys "R" Us said that it was closing all of its US stores.But American Apparel faced unique challenges. That suspect is believed to be Travis Reinking, the man accused of Sunday's Waffle House shooting. Reinking remains at large, and authorities are offering a reward for information leading to his capture. After a brief chase, the car was recovered in a neighborhood, located near Reinking’s apartment.No one was ever arrested, but now Reinking has emerged as the prime suspect in the case.There is surveillance video of both the theft from the dealership and the chase. Investigators made the connection after seeing photos of Reinking after Sunday’s shooting.Brentwood Police officials confirmed there was an auto theft and brief chase.They also now are in close contact with Nashville police and law enforcement agencies – FBI, TBI and ATF – who are investigating the mass shooting.It’s possible video of the car theft suspect and more details will be released later today.   1402

(CNN) - A San Jose home was a scene of carnage after an apparent quadruple homicide and suicide, police said.Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired at the home around 8:40 p.m. Sunday night."Arriving officers located several family members fleeing the residence," San Jose police said.Police used an armored vehicle to help rescue two gunshot victims from the home. But both of those victims, a male and a female, died shortly later."Two other adult female victims and the suspect were still unaccounted for and believed to be in the residence," police said.At around 1:25 a.m. Monday, officers entered the home and found the two missing female victims and the suspect. All three had been shot, and all three were pronounced dead at the scene.The names of the victims and suspect have not been released, pending notification of relatives. Authorities have not detailed the relationships between the five people."It appears the suspect shot the four victims before committing suicide by shooting himself," police said. With just five Democratic Party hopefuls for president left, two candidates emerged as clear frontrunners on a crucial night dubbed as “Super Tuesday.” Joe Biden, ex-President Barack Obama’s two-term vice president, asserted himself as a real contender to take the Democratic nomination. Sen. Bernie Sanders, who attained frontrunner status after winning races in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, is now locked into a battle with Biden. Meanwhile, the campaigns of Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg are in question. While Warren’s campaign presses on by adding several campaign events later in the week, Warren did not finish in the Top 2 in any of the 14 states up for grabs on Tuesday, including her home state of Massachusetts. Meanwhile, representatives for Bloomberg said that the candidate is returning to NYC to reassess his campaign. Bloomberg’s only victory on Tuesday came from the tiny US territory of American Samoa, which only had six delegates up for grabs. Also grabbing a delegate from the Pacific island was Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who was born on the island. The delegate was her first of the campaign. Bloomberg campaign manager Kevin Sheekey said that in the campaign's opinion, there is still time for Bloomberg to make up ground. This comes after Bloomberg sat out the first four nominating races. "Tonight, only one-third of delegates will be allotted," Sheekey said. "As Mike said tonight, 'No matter how many delegates we win tonight, we have done something no one else thought was possible.’ In just three months, we've gone from just 1% in the polls to being a contender for the Democratic nomination."The night started out great for Biden, as races in North Carolina, Virginia and Alabama were called early in the evening.
