The new romaine lettuce recall is causing many to change up their Thanksgiving Day menus.A popular vegan restaurant and catering company, Pianta, is one place affected by the recall.“We use romaine every day,” says restaurant owner Michael Moon. “We use about two to three cases of romaine every week, so it's pretty significant.”The restaurant has thrown out all of its romaine lettuce.“Essentially, we're just throwing away money,” Moon says.However, Pianta’s owner says it’s only a small cost to pay for the safety of his customers.“We don't want to be associated with some sort of outbreak here as a plant-based restaurant. The National Hurricane Center said Friday night it now expects Tropical Storm Hanna to strengthen into a hurricane by the time it makes landfall on the Texas coast tomorrow.In response, the National Hurricane Center has issued hurricane warnings for sections of the Texas coast. Tropical storm warnings also remain in effect for parts of the Texas coast.The hurricane warning extends from Fort Mansfield, Texas, to Mesquite Bay, Texas.The National Hurricane Center said that Hanna has gained strength on Friday as it makes it approach to the Texas coast. The Olmsted Locks and Dam project, located on the Ohio River between Illinois and Kentucky, has taken 30 years and billion to complete.  But after three decades, the project is slated to be operational in October.The engineers and workers behind the development say the investment is worth it."The Ohio flows into the Mississippi 16 miles downriver from us, and then it's open passage all the way down to New Orleans and into the ocean,” explains Mick Awbreyk, the Army Corps of Engineers deputy chief for the Olmsted Division. “There is no locks and dams from the Olmsted to the ocean."He says the innovative details that went into the project are “phenomenal and truly world class.”Awbreyk will see the opening of the project, which began in 1988.So, why has it taken so long to complete?“The nature of the project; a lot of different things have led to the duration,” explains Awbreyk of the timeline. “One: it hasn't been fully funded until calendar 2013, fiscal years 2014 and that’s the nature of civil works projects."The dam crosses one of the busiest shipping lanes in the United States. Awbreyk says about 91 million tons of goods on average come through the area per year.“The equivalent of 25,000 semi-trucks worth of cargo passes through this site every year,” says Awbreyk. “You can imagine the wear and tear on the interstates and the highways that would have an extra 25,000 vehicles that will be on there per day."The project's price tag has grown to around billion. The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance has issued a subpoena to Michael Cohen as part of its ongoing probe into whether the Trump Foundation violated New York tax laws, a department spokesman confirmed to CNN.This probe is separate from the New York attorney general's lawsuit against the Trump Foundation. The Tax Department is not able to bring any criminal charges, and if it finds any wrongdoing, the department would have to refer it to the New York attorney general's office or another prosecutor's office."A subpoena has been issued to Michael Cohen for relevant information in light of the public disclosures made yesterday," said Tax Department spokesperson John Gazzale in a statement. The National Rifle Association should move its annual convention from Dallas to somewhere else after last week's massacre at a Florida high school that left 17 students dead, a Dallas city official says.It's not appropriate for the group to meet in Dallas in May because there's so much gun violence in the United States, Dallas City Council Member Dwaine Caraway saidAssault rifles like the one used in the Florida school shooting should be outlawed, he said Monday at a news conference, and "the NRA needs to step up to the plate and they need to show leadership."CNN's calls to the NRA for comment were not immediately returned.Caraway, who is serving as mayor pro tem, meaning he fills in when the mayor is absent, said he's expressing a personal belief about the NRA and has not initiated any action in the city government to stop the convention.At a Monday news conference, Caraway said he had not spoken directly to any NRA officials."I am saying to the NRA, reconsider yourselves coming to Dallas," Caraway said. "There will be marches and demonstrations should they come to Dallas and we, Dallas, will be the ones that have to bear the cost and the responsibility and to protect the citizens."Caraway noted that gun violence has visited Dallas before, with the 1963 assassination of President John F.
