SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Lifeguards responded to two reported shark sightings off Scripps Beach Friday morning.San Diego Fire-Rescue Department officials said the first report came from a surfer at the beach -- located between La Jolla Shores and Ellen Browning Scripps Memorial Pier -- at around 10:30 a.m. As of 4 p.m., there were no additional sightings and the advisory for beachgoers had been lifted from La Jolla Shores beach.The surfer told lifeguards she was about 100 yards from the beach and within the surf line when she saw a six-foot shark “that was not acting aggressively and was heading north,” according to SDFD officials.Lifeguards patrolled the area where the share was seen but did not locate it.SDFD officials also said another surfer told lifeguards of a shark in the area that was also about six feet in length.Lifeguards at the beach are informing beachgoers of the sightings and posted warning signs on the beach.SDFD officials said no city beaches were closed.The sightings come one day after at least three sharks were seen in the waters off Torrey Pines State Beach. 1107

The report claims that America’s Finest City is the second most rent-burdened city in the nation. Miami took the top spot on the list, followed by San Diego, Los Angeles, New York and Orlando. The report also found that those who make minimum wage would have to work nearly 100 hours per week to be able to afford the median rent. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Gas and Electric is warning more than 88,000 customers of a possible multi-day power shutoff due to Santa Ana Winds.According to the company, the public safety power shutoff could happen as early as Wednesday night or Thursday morning. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after breaking a bone in his left hand during the team’s loss at Arizona Sunday.Padres skipper Jayce Tingler confirmed Pham’s injury during an appearance Monday on MLB Network Radio.The injury happened during Pham’s ninth inning at-bat in Sunday’s game. The left fielder/DH fouled off a pitch and then immediately shook his left hand in apparent pain.Following a visit from the trainer, Pham exited the game, forcing the Padres to put Greg Garcia in to finish the at-bat in the eventual 5-4 loss. The Friars' loss was their fifth in a row.At the time of his injury, Pham was the tied for the MLB lead in stolen bases with six and among the league leaders in walks. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego police are looking for a man accused of committing a lewd act in the Morena neighborhood.The incident happened on Aug. 12, shortly before 4:30 p.m. A home security camera caught the man stopping on the sidewalk and engaging in the lewd act as he crept near a woman that was gardening outside her home.Police say the woman had her back turned to the man, and she never knew he was there."He was within maybe four or five feet at the time," the woman's husband, Jeremy Pritchett, said. "That's frightening about the situation, someone can creep up to you within 4 feet, and you have no idea."A car drove by, and Pritchett said it scared the man away. Pritchett was home at the time but didn't know what had happened until a few minutes after the man took off. He found out after looking through his security camera footage.San Diego police officers say they have identified the man in the video, and they are going to issue a warrant for his arrest.
