An unattended hippo escaped from a zoo in Israel.By the looks of the security video, the big animal appears to simply walk through the door.A zookeeper found the hippo as it was escaping and watched it eat some grass and inspect some toilets before returning shortly thereafter.Watch the escape in the video below: 322

An Idaho woman reported to the Nampa Police Department Tuesday night that her 6-year-old son had been given a small bag of marijuana while out trick-or-treating.She reported that she had been going through his candy bag and found the small plastic baggie that appeared to contain marijuana. She brought the baggie to the Nampa Police Department and turned it over to officers.   Nampa Police field tested the substance found in the candy bag and it indeed tested “presumptively positive” for marijuana, said Nampa Police Sgt. Tim Riha.“Officers obtained the route that (the child) took while out trick-or-treating. (The child) had been to several houses in that area, but it is unknown which house provided the marijuana to the trick-or-treater,” Riha explained.  The baggie that contained the marijuana will be sent to the lab for fingerprint testing, he added.The incident is still under investigation.  The Nampa Police Department reminds parents to inspect all candy and items obtained by their kids while out on Halloween.“If any candy looks like it has been tampered with or opened, it is best just to throw the item away. Be wary of allowing children to consume any homemade treats and fully inspect all other items,” Riha advised. 1276

An independent news organization has researched reports regarding the size of airplane seating, and its findings led it to call coach-class seating a "death trap."The Daily Beast says dense, shrunken seat space does not do a safe enough job of allowing passengers to move quickly in the event of emergencies. DB's investigation found the FAA nor Boeing is disclosing evacuation test data "for the newest (and most densely seated) versions of the most widely used jet, the Boeing 737."It also found tests to ensure all passengers may safely leave a cabin are "dangerously outdated." They do not reflect how densely packed coach class seating has become, the report says."No coach class seat meets the Department of Transportation's own standard for space required to make a flight attendant's seat safe in an emergency," the DB reports. American broadcaster Hugh Downs has died at the age of 99. The Downs family says Hugh died peacefully on Wednesday at his Scottsdale, Arizona home and was surrounded by family. Downs was born in Akron, Ohio on February 14, 1921.He had a career which spanned more than 60 years. Notably, Downs was a co-host on NBC's Today from 1962-1971, later he hosted 20/20 on ABC from 1978-1999 and announced for Tonight Starring Jack Paar.He also hosted the game show Concentration from 1958-1969.
