Authorities are investigating whether deputies shared graphic photos of the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter and seven others. The Los Angeles Times reports that a public safety source with knowledge of the events had seen one of the photos on the phone of another official in a setting that was not related to the investigation of the crash. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the allegations. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said in a statement Friday it was investigating the allegations. An Australian man who was injured in a volcanic eruption in New Zealand more than a month ago has died, becoming the 20th victim of the disaster, officials said Monday.Paul Browitt and his two daughters were caught in the Dec. 9 eruption on White Island. The body of Krystal Browitt, 21, was among six recovered from the island in the days after the eruption.Paul Browitt and his daughter Stephanie Browitt, 23, survived the eruption and were transferred to Alfred Hospital in their hometown of Melbourne three days after the disaster.A police statement confirmed Paul Browitt died on Sunday night as a result of injuries from the eruption. A hospital statement said he had been critically ill.Maria Browitt, the wife and mother of the victims, had remained on a ship while her family took a day trip to the island.Of 23 victims who remain in hospitals in New Zealand and Australia, at least five are listed as in critical condition, health authorities said. Authorities won’t comment on the conditions of two victims in Sydney at the request of relatives.Alfred Hospital said it was continuing to give specialized burn care to two volcano victims transferred there. They are Stephanie Browitt and Lisa Dallow, 48, of Adelaide.The hospital said one of the patients was in critical condition and the other was in stable condition. As the number of lung illness cases involving people who vape continues to grow, one city is telling people to stop using immediately.Now, vaping company Juul says it’s making it harder for younger people to buy their e-cigarettes.Sixteen people were hospitalized in Wisconsin with chemical pneumonia that doctors believe was caused by vaping. There have been 200 cases across the country.Despite the FDA declaring teen vaping as an epidemic, the Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association (CASAA) says vaping is still a better option than smoking."Flavorings and the base ingredients in e-liquid products made with nicotine are all alcohol base; those products don't cause this lipoid pneumonia,” says Alex Clark with CASAA.However, Clark says the problem causing these lung issues comes from users buying THC-filled cartridges from underground dealers.CASAA believes the black market manufacturers could be putting dangerous chemicals into illegal vaping products.This week, Juul’s CEO Kevin Burns told CBS This Morning these health reports are worrisome.The company announced it’s working with e-cigarette vendors to implement an ID verification system that prohibits cashiers from selling to underage shoppers and limits the amount customers can buy.Clark says he’s concerned more restriction on vaping products could lead to bigger problems. Attorney General William Barr said Tuesday he expects to release a redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller's nearly report "within a week," but he does not plan to provide Congress with an unredacted version of the report, setting the stage for a showdown with congressional Democrats.Barr told a House subcommittee Tuesday that the redactions process was going "very well," and he would explain the rationale for the redactions that are made from Mueller's nearly 400-page report. But he said he would not accede to Democrats' demands that he provide the full, unredacted report to Congress, arguing that he cannot legally release grand jury material and that he did not plan to ask a court to release it."I don't intend at this stage to send the full, unredacted report to the committee," Barr said.Barr's comments Tuesday come ahead of a brewing clash between Congress and the Trump administration over the Mueller report, as Democrats are indeed prepared to go to court in an effort to obtain the unredacted Mueller report and the special counsel's underlying evidence.
