As Tropical Storm Laura began setting its sights on Puerto Rico, and eventually, the Florida coast, Tropical Storm Marco formed late Friday.Marco has top winds of 40 MPH, but is expected to gain strength by the time it reaches the Gulf of Mexico. Starting Friday, the USPS will begin Operation Santa, which will allow adults to respond to letters written by children. According to the USPS, potential adopters can read the letters and pick one, or more, that they’d like to fulfill. USPS says for security reasons, potential adopters must be vetted by going through a short registration and ID verification process before they are allowed to adopt any letter.The USPS says that the program is intended to help millions of less fortunate children. AURORA, Colo. — When a fawn found itself in the basement foundation of a home under construction, it was firefighters to the rescue. On Sunday evening, residents in a southeast Aurora, Colorado neighborhood called on three of their neighbors, who happened to be off-duty members of South Metro Fire Rescue and the Thornton Fire Department, to rescue the young deer. When it was first lifted out of the basement foundation, it ran to the edge of the property and tried to squeeze through metal fencing, but couldn't fit. The firefighters gave the animal another boost over the fence and it bounded away, said a spokesperson with SMFR.  692

Rubins and two cosmonauts are in Star City, Russia, just outside Moscow.
