(AP) — The wife of a man who was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Southern California says investigators told her he pushed her out of the way.The Orange County Register reports Saturday that Jacqueline Gibson, of Lake Elsinore, said she was vacationing with her 71-year-old husband Ernest Gibson Monday when they crossed the tracks to return to their Dana Point campground.She says he suddenly told her to run. She found herself on the other side moments later as the train came through.Once it passed, she found her husband's body.She says investigators told her video from the train showed her husband pushing her out of the way.Metrolink officials say the area was restricted. (KGTV) -- High winds in the Descanso area knocked over two big rig trucks early Thursday morning, prompting emergency crews to rescue people trapped inside.At around 4 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers were called to eastbound Interstate 8 near Japatul Valley Road after reports a semitruck toppled over due to the strong winds swirling in the area.Two people were removed from the truck and taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.Moments later and a few hundred feet away, crews rushed to another big rig that was knocked down by the winds.Crews broke the truck’s windshield and extricated a man, woman and dog trapped inside the cab. It is unknown if the couple and dog were injured.A High Wind Advisory was issued for I-8 from Lake Jennings to Forrester Road; high-profile vehicles are prohibited on that stretch of I-8. 872

(KGTV) -- A suspect is in custody for the fatal shooting of a man in the Dehesa area late Thursday evening, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.Detectives identified the suspect as 49-year-old Daniel Christopher Allen who was arrested and booked into San Diego Central Jail for one count of murder Friday evening.Sheriff’s officials said the incident happened in the 6000 block of Stallion Oaks Road at around 11 p.m.ABC 10News learned deputies were dispatched to the area after a woman reported her boyfriend had been shot.Responding emergency crews attempted life-saving measures, but the man -- who was not identified -- died at the scene.Details on what led to the shooting remain under investigation. 747
