SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Humane Society officers rescued 21 cats living in filthy conditions in a South Bay home on Tuesday.SDHS said Wednesday officers were working to recover more from the home.The cats were recovered from the home and are suffering from a range of health conditions, including malnutrition, fleas, upper respiratory infections, and some eye traumas that were left untreated. Wednesday, one of those cats was scheduled to undergo emergency eye surgery.Humane Society staff say the cats will be cared for at the shelter but did not say whether they would eventually be offered for adoption.SDHS did not say whether charges were being filed against the homeowner. 692

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are investigating Tuesday the report of a woman's body found in the water at Bonita Cove in Mission Bay.A person walking on the beach found the remains of the woman about 10:20 a.m., San Diego Police Lt. Chris Sharp said.There was no indication of foul play but there were injuries to the body, said Lt. Sharp.The Medical Examiner will try to identify the victim and conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.Bonita Cove is a busy area of Mission Bay. Several boats and recreational vehicles were nearby when the discovery was made. Police did not elaborate on possible witnesses.10News is monitoring breaking developments in this story. 690

  

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Residents will be able to catch the County Administration Building's celebration of the Festival of Lights through Dec. 18.The building will light up nightly in blue and white until Dec. 18, according to the county.The nightly show adds to the list of distanced celebrations San Diegans will enjoy this year due to the pandemic.On Monday, the Del Mar Fairgrounds will host a drive-in concert at 4:30 p.m. as part of The Chabad Centers of San Diego County's Chanukah Spectacular, featuring a Grand Menorah lighting, Chanukah gifts, and musical performances headlined by Israeli pop star Gad Elbaz. Tickets can be purchased online.Hanukkah, which means "dedication," is celebrated by lighting candles on the menorah each day of the 8-day holiday at sundown. The lights are intended to let passersby see them and be reminded of the holiday's miracle.Once the Jews defeated the Hellenist Syrian forces of Antiochus IV in 165 B.C. following a three-year rebellion, the temple in Jerusalem was rededicated to Judah Maccabee, who led the insurgency.According to the story of the holiday, Maccabee and his soldiers wanted to light the temple's ceremonial lamp but found only enough oil to burn for one day. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are asking for the public’s help locating a man suspected of threatening a Target employee with a razor during a robbery.Police say the incident happened around 10 a.m. on March 25 at the Target on the 1200 block of Camino Del Rio North.According to police, a loss prevention officer noticed a man inside the store he recognized from previous encounters.Police say the man grabbed three memory cards and attempted to remove them from their cases.After removing one of the memory cards and placing it in his pocket, the man was confronted by the officer who followed him to the exit.The suspect then threatened the officer with a folding razor knife he removed from his waistband.The suspect is described as a six-foot tall 28-year-old white male wearing a tan colored long-sleeve dress shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.Anyone with information is asked to call San Diego Police at 619-531-2299. 951
