Sunshine Mills, Inc. is voluntarily recalling some dog food products because levels of a mold by-product are potentially above the acceptable limit.Aflatoxin naturally occurs from the growth of Aspergillus flavus and can be harmful to pets if consumed in significant quantities, according to the Food and Drug Administration. No health issues have been reported at this time. The potential for elevated levels of Aflatoxin was discovered during routine sampling done by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. The recall affects Family Pet meaty cuts beef, chicken and cheese flavors, Heartland Farms grilled favorites beef, chicken and cheese flavor, and Paws Happy Life butcher’s choice dog food.Symptoms include lethargy or sluggishness, a reluctance to eat, vomiting, yellowish tint to eyes or gums or diarrhea. The products were distributed nationwide in retail stores. Store owners have been asked to pull the dog food from their shelves and customers can return any unused portion of the bag for a full refund. The impacted lot numbers and bag sizes are on the FDA’s website. 1100

That often-blurred line between the office and home is now a little clearer for one creative teacher.Move over Chip and Joanna Gaines. With advance notice he would not be returning to the classroom because of the coronavirus, Cory Streets got to work on a special summer project.Streets just completed an amazing transformation, turning a storage shed in his backyard into a space dedicated to scholastic achievement - like something straight out of an episode of 'Fixer Upper' on HGTV, on a much smaller budget.“Got a can of mis-tinted paint and a carpet remnant. I’m hoping it’ll be a fun way to break up some of the monotony," said Streets. With a young daughter and a second child arriving in October, Streets found himself with limited spots to set up shop inside his home.“It’ll give me a place to come and work quietly," said Streets.Instead of rakes and shovels, Streets filled the shed with all the tools he needs to help his students grow despite being miles apart.“I wanted to make this a more fun and enjoyable experience for myself, but also for the students," said Streets. The consistency of connecting in this newly-created classroom, which has been dubbed the "Mr. Streets Center for Remote Sheducation," is not only expected to help Streets stay focused; he says it will also do the same for his students.“It’ll feel more comforting, it’ll feel predictable, it’ll feel like a routine," said Streets.Streets said there's a lesson his students can learn from the new workspace and that is you have to make the best of a challenging moment.“We’re gonna have a good time, we’re gonna learn some stuff. You can take a difficult situation and make it fun," said Streets. As for what happens to the transformed shed when Streets and his fellow teachers return to the school building?"I can take down some educational posters and put some Cleveland Browns and Indians things and there we go, easy man cave space," said Streets. This story was first reported by Mike Brookbank at WEWS. 2004

Steve Wynn is now free to sell his stake in the massive casino business he founded.Wynn Resorts said in a filing on Thursday that Wynn, its former chief executive, and his ex-wife Elaine Wynn, have dissolved an agreement that prevented them from selling their shares.Wynn stepped down as CEO last month after allegations of sexual misconduct piled pressure on the billionaire casino mogul and sent the company's stock tumbling. The company, which operates casinos in Las Vegas and Macau, said in its filing that Steve Wynn may now "seek to sell all or a portion" of the roughly 12 million shares that he owns. Elaine Wynn owns another 10 million shares, giving them a combined 21% stake.Wynn, 76, has denied the accusations of misconduct, which gained widespread attention in late January after an investigative report by The Wall Street Journal detailed numerous allegations against him, citing dozens of sources.Shares in the company were trading above 0 in January, but dropped sharply after the allegations were made public. They have since recovered some lost ground to trade at 6.Wynn Resorts said in a separate filing in February that Wynn would not be allowed to sell more than a third of his stake in any one quarter. That restriction was not mentioned in the documents filed Thursday.Wynn is credited with transforming Las Vegas casinos from gambling dens into entertainment hubs where guests could also watch spectacular shows and eat in high-end restaurants. The Mirage, Wynn's first major casino on the Vegas Strip, opened in 1989. He then opened Treasure Island in 1993, and the Bellagio in 1998.In 2006, he opened his first casino in Macau, where gambling revenues now dwarf those of Las Vegas. An even bigger one, Wynn Palace, followed 10 years later.The-CNN-Wire 1791

STURGIS, Mich. — If you’re not a cat person, keep reading.Ron Williams of Sturgis turns 85 in September. Not too long ago, to keep him company, a friend brought him a boy cat named Fluffy.Over the first few weeks they had together, Williams says he and Fluffy hit it off right away.“I looked at him and hey, I just fell in love with him,” said Williams. As it’s safe to say we all do with our pets, Williams talked to Fluffy quite a lot. When the senior got calls on his cellphone, he’d joke around with Fluffy then too.“The phone would ring, and I would say ‘ring-a-ding,’” said Williams. “And I didn’t know he’d pick up on it.”Then, a few days ago, Williams slipped and fell getting out of the shower. He couldn’t move.“My arm was pinned under me, and the hours kept going by,” said Williams. “16 hours…”From roughly 8 a.m. until midnight later that day, Williams laid in agony. The door was closed, and his Life Alert was in the other room on the charger. His phone was in the bathroom with him, but just out of reach on the counter.Lucky for Williams, Fluffy was in the room too. And whether or not he knew it, he’d been training Fluffy for this moment accidentally.“So I said ‘ring-a-ding Fluffy, you’re my only hope,’” Williams said, tearing up. “And he was. It wasn’t even five minutes later I felt something hit my hand. And I’m here because of it.”The cat had brought Williams his phone and he was able to dial 911.“I relive it a million times. What if he wouldn’t have been in there with me? I’d be dead today,” he added. Now Williams, who served with the U.S. Army in Korea, is fine – left only with some soreness and bumps and bruising. Compared to the alternative, he knows he’s lucky.“He’s my hero, and he always will be,” said Williams. “He’ll never be away from me until the day I die.”This story was originally published by Doug Reardon at WXMI. 1868
