This should be fun," Haynesworth said.That is, until a feather duster lookalike arrived in the mail."Yo! It's missing a leg!" Haynesworth said in her unboxing video. "The worst thing I've ever seen in my whole life."She didn't try contacting the company or returning the item — she figured it was a lesson learned.Angie Barnett, president and CEO of the Better Business Bureau in greater Maryland, said that's what creators of fake websites hope will happen."The scammer or the schemer clearly made a profit. Most of these items are made overseas, so to return the item you'd actually have to ship to China or ship to an outside country and the cost is going to be phenomenal," Barnett said.Before ordering anything from social media ads or unfamiliar sites, look at the contact page. If there is no business address listed, that's a red flag. If there is an address, Google the address to see if it exists. Call the phone number to see if it works. Send an email and wait for a response. And use a credit card when shopping online.While it's nothing close to what she ordered, Haynesworth said she's keeping the tree."I'm determined now," she said. "Like, it's mine. I might as well. I'm going to get the ornaments I was going to put on it. Now, I'm defiant. (KGTV) -- Deputies are investigating after gunshots rang out in Bonita overnight Sunday, leading to the detainment of 10 people.Authorities were called to the 5400 block of Robinwood Road after receiving reports of gunshots around 3:55 a.m. Sunday.After finding shell casings, nine residents were taken into custody. While checking the area, deputies heard 10 more shots being fired before a man, later identified as Salvador Barajas, 25, ran from the area.Following a brief search, Salvador was found by a K9 and taken into custody. Barajas was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation before being booked into jail for negligent discharge of a firearm. 693

BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore Police are investigating the shooting of a 5-year-old girl on the 1000 block of McKean Street in West Baltimore on Monday evening.According to an official with the mayor's office, the 5-year-old girl is the younger sister of 7-year-old Taylor Hayes who was shot in the backseat of a car in July and was pronounced dead two weeks later.Officers were called to an area hospital for a report of the 5-year-old walk-in shooting victim who was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her groin.Investigators say that residents in the area of the 1000 block of McKean Street heard several gunshots when someone looked outside and saw the girl laying on the sidewalk suffering from her gunshot wound.A person then picked up the girl from the sidewalk and drove her to an area hospital.The young girl was immediately rushed into surgery and is expected to survive.Officials believe that the girl was caught in the middle of a shootout involving suspects in an unknown car and suspects on foot. 1077

His latest material is more commentary than comedy.His five-minute video has been viewed more than 1.3 million times since June 21."It’s really humbled me to be a voice, to create something from our perspective that is not intended to offend anyone, but just share our perspective and encourage people to get to know local law enforcement," Montez said of the post's meteoric views.That perspective includes the dark parts of the job we often don't see.
