College graduates are also beginning to see the benefits of the strong job market. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A stolen cello worth 0,000 has been reunited with its owner. "I was driving home from downtown and I saw it. It was on C and 7th where the mailbox is at and I thought, well this is really weird. And then I got out and I knew what it was right away, so I took it," said Tony Cozano, who found the instrument. The instrument was returned to its owner, John Walz Monday. Walz is the principal cellist for the Los Angeles Opera and has played on more than 1,500 film scores from Titanic to Indiana Jones, even the new Star Wars films. RELATED: Police searching for person who reportedly stole 0,000 cello"I walked in to the house and just burst into tears. It's in perfect shape. There's no damage to it. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A water main break Monday forced San Diego firefighters to evacuate Point Loma neighbors due to a potential hillside collapse.The break happened about 2:30 p.m. on Larga Circle near Leland St. The residential area is just west of the Vons shopping center on Midway Drive.According to SDFD, 10 homes were evacuated due to the break. The broken water main is on a slope between homes at the top and bottom of the slope. At least one home had flooding to the garage.City engineers are being called to the scene. 545

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A teenager is publicly apologizing after admitting to vandalizing a park in Scripps Ranch last December. Jerabek park was vandalized on December 8, 2018. Days later, the Scripps Ranch Civic Association offered a reward to find the person who vandalized the field. Neighbors said they believed a large truck drove in circles on the field, destroying the turf. In the association’s August newsletter, the unidentified teenager admits to vandalizing the grass. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - An Encinitas family on vacation woke up to a disturbing alert last week, video of someone stealing multiple packages from their porch.Homeowner Mark Sandorf says the most peculiar thing was who the thief was."It’s different in that she looks like she’s probably someone’s grandma," said Sandorf.The family immediately filed a police report from New Mexico.10News blurred the woman's face because the San Diego Sheriff's Department has not yet said she's a wanted suspect.One of the packages had sentimental value, three custom holsters for Sandorf's son who is in law enforcement."My son is, like I said, risking his life out there every day and we try to keep him in good equipment and what not. These were custom made by a friend of mine in South Carolina," said Sandorf.Sandorf says the most frustrating thing is knowing the holsters will likely get thrown away.He hopes others in his Encinitas Ranch neighborhood will be on alert after the incident. 980
