(KGTV) -- SeaWorld continues to feel the financial strain of the COVID-19 pandemic, reporting a dramatic loss in revenue on Monday.SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc. revealed troubling earnings numbers from the second quarter and first six months of 2020, including revenue down 96 percent compared to the same time last year.When it comes to attendance, SeaWorld parks saw only 300,000 guests during the second quarter of this year -- a drop of 6.2 million from Q2 in 2019.According to the earnings report, SeaWorld had 6 million in cash/cash equivalents as of June 30. The company had 0 million on April 30.The pandemic forced the closure of the company’s parks, including SeaWorld San Diego, for several months, leading to a decline of 7.2 million guests from the first six months of 2019, the company stated.Following the park closures earlier this year, SeaWorld was forced to furlough 90 percent of its staff.A phased reopening of some parks began in early June, and overall, a total of seven parks were open for 98 operating days compared with all 12 parks open for 861 days during the second quarter of 2019. The reopened parks operated at limited capacity, limited hours and/or limited days.As for SeaWorld San Diego park, an opening date has not been set. SeaWorld said it is "in regular contact with state and local authorities and sincerely looks forward to opening in San Diego and welcoming back its guests as soon as it's safe and permitted to do so."The company said it also does not plan on opening the Aquatica waterpark in Chula Vista this year.SeaWorld Entertainment’s interim CEO Marc Swanson said in the earnings report: "I am extremely proud of our team's performance during this unprecedented and challenging time. (KGTV) - The U.S. Navy said it has confirmed the death of the pilot in the crash of a fighter jet in the California desert. The single-seat F/A-18E Super Hornet crashed Wednesday morning in a canyon in Death Valley National Park where military aircraft conduct low-level training in an area known as Star Wars Canyon. Seven French tourists on the ground were treated for minor cuts and burns they suffered when they were hit by shrapnel. The Navy says the cause of the crash remains under investigation. The aircraft belonged to Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-151 based at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California's Central Valley. The Navy said in a statement Thursday that the pilot's identity will be withheld until 24 hours after notification of next of kin in accordance with Defense Department policy. 811

I was really pleased to accept this."Starr, whose real name is Richard Starkey, told BBC he met with McCartney in Los Angeles last week. A 66-year-old woman was arrested and preliminarily charged Wednesday with driving into protesters in Indiana.According to the Associated Press, the woman police arrested was Christi Bennett.Hundreds of people were rallying and protesting through Bloomington Monday, following an alleged racist attack at Lake Monroe where several men attacked and apparently attempted to lynch Vauhxx Booker, a Monroe County Human Rights commissioner.Police say an electric scooter had been left in the roadway and a red Toyota passenger car drove up to it. A male passenger then got out and threw the scooter out of the lane of travel. That's when police say a woman approached the vehicle and stood in front of it with her hands on the hood.The vehicle then began to accelerate, according to police, causing the woman to go up onto the hood of the car. A man then grabbed the car and clung to the side of it as it accelerated rapidly on Walnut Street. The man and woman remained on the vehicle until it turned abruptly onto eastbound 6th Street, throwing both people off, according to police.Police say the owner of the car was staying at a motel in Scottsburg, Indiana. They traveled to Scottsburg and detained the man and woman involved. The man was interviewed and released.
