The American Bald Eagle, a federally protected bird once considered endangered, is facing a new threat.Conservationists say the birds are being poisoned, and the number of cases are rising — and some worry the problem will not slow down.Last year, the U.S. Department of Interior lifted a ban on hunting with lead bullets on wildlife refuges. However, it's still illegal to use lead ammo to hunt waterfowl.Many hunters say they use lead ammunition because it is heavier than steel or copper, meaning the bullet reaches the target more accurately. Lead ammo is also cheaper than steel or copper.Betsy Finch is the manager of the Fontenelle Forest Raptor Recovery, which holds dozens of birds of all kinds that need help until they are well enough to be freed or put to rest. TAMPA, Fla. — Commuters at Tampa International were hit with a serious dose of puppy love on Friday afternoon.The pup-arazzi was on hand to capture the moment a service dog went into labor while waiting for a flight at Tampa International Airport. Elli, short for Eleanor Rigby, is a two-year-old Labrador Retriever and service dog. She was waiting to fly to Philadelphia with her owner Diane Vanatter when she went into labor.  Tampa Fire Rescue was on hand to help deliver the puppies.   532

The IRS sent many of its employees to work from home, resulting in delays in processing refunds. It was also difficult for many Americans to contact the IRS.Meanwhile, the IRS was processing millions of economic impact payments as most American adults were eligible to receive a ,200 payment from the federal government.The IRS advised tax payers on Tuesday to not rely on a tax refund coming by a certain date.“The IRS always cautions taxpayers not to rely on receiving a refund by a certain date, especially when making major purchases or paying bills,” the IRS said on Tuesday. “Some returns may require additional review and processing may take longer. For example, the IRS, along with its partners in the tax industry, continue to strengthen security reviews to help protect against identity theft and refund fraud. Just like last year, refunds for tax returns claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit [lnks.gd], cannot be issued before mid-February. This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.”The IRS said that the fastest way for tax payers to obtain a refund is to file electronically and request payment via direct deposit.The IRS said that once a tax return is received, Americans can track their refund using the “Where’s My Refund” tool on its website.According to the IRS, the agency issued 122 million refunds for tax year 2019, totaling 2 billion. Starbucks wants to transform some of its stores to prioritize customers who order online, according to an SEC filing.The coffee chain says it is accelerating plans to improve drive-thru and curbside pick-up options due to the coronavirus pandemic.In its filing, Starbucks says it plans to open 300 locations that "specialize" in pick-up and carry-out orders. The company also says the move will require the closure of about 400 of its current cafes.Starbucks says it will make the change over the next 18 months.CNN reports that Starbucks was already re-evaluating its strategy prior to the pandemic, as "80% of transactions at nearly 15,000 US stores are 'on-the-go' purchases."At the peak of the pandemic, when local governments forced the closure of restaurant dining rooms, Starbucks continued to operate many of its locations exclusively through drive-thrus and online ordering. 891
