Ford is recalling about 350,000 trucks for a problem that could cause them to roll even after the driver shifts into park. The automaker says the issue affects 2018 Ford F-150 and Ford Expedition vehicles with 10-speed automatic transmissions, as well as Ford F-650 and F-750 vehicles with 6-speed automatic transmissions.Ford says a piece of equipment on the affected vehicles can become dislodged over time, which means the car won't be in the gear that it looks like it's in, such as park. This means that if the driver shifts the car into park, the car might not actually be in park — and there would not be a warning message to indicate that. If he or she doesn't use a parking brake, Ford says the vehicle could roll.Ford says it's aware of one reported accident and injury. The company is also recalling more than 100 other vehicles for a missing transmission roll pin. If the pin is missing, the company says that the transmission on those vehicles might eventually lose the ability to park, even if the driver shifts the car into that gear.Ford says that problem affects around 160 of the 2017 and 2018 Ford F-150s, 2018 Ford Expeditions, 2018 Lincoln Navigators and 2018 Ford Mustangs with 10R80 transmissions. 1231
Former FBI Director James Comey wrote in his unreleased book that President Donald Trump asked him to look into one of the most infamous allegations in a dossier of claims about Trump and Russia, the New York Post reported Thursday. The Post said it obtained a copy of the book, and that in the book, Comey wrote that Trump wanted him to prove the allegation was false in part to prove its falsehood to his wife, first lady Melania Trump."He brought up what he called the 'golden showers thing,'" the Post quotes Comey as writing. The dossier was commissioned as opposition research by political opponents of then-candidate Trump and compiled by a former British intelligence agent.Portions of the dossier remain unconfirmed. The book reportedly continues, "It bothered him if there was 'even a one percent chance' his wife, Melania, thought it was true. ... He just rolled on, unprompted, explaining why it couldn't possibly be true, ending by saying he was thinking of asking me to investigate the allegation to prove it was a lie. I said it was up to him."According to the Post report, Comey recalled the interaction occurred at the same dinner where?he said Trump asked for his "loyalty," which Trump has denied. 1236

Former Trump campaign adviser Rick Gates is finalizing a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller's office, indicating he's poised to cooperate in the investigation, according to sources familiar with the case.Gates has already spoken to Mueller's team about his case and has been in plea negotiations for about a month. He's had what criminal lawyers call a "Queen for a Day" interview, in which a defendant answers any questions from the prosecutors' team, including about his own case and other potential criminal activity he witnessed.Gates' cooperation could be another building block for Mueller in a possible case against President Donald Trump or key members of his team. 698
Former Vice President Joe Biden told supporters Tuesday night to "keep the faith" and have patience, as results trickle in from around the country. Biden spoke from his Delaware home just before 1 a.m. ETCar horns could be heard during his short speech, a familiar sound from Biden's drive-in rallies during the final weeks of the campaign. "We feel good about where we are," Biden told supporters, referencing recent projected wins in Minnesota and what Biden says are positive trends in Pennsylvania and other battleground states. Biden also repeated a sentiment he had shared earlier in the day, as he thanked supporters for their patience. “Presidents don’t decide what votes are counted and not counted; voters determine who’s president.”His comments were a little bit of a surprise, given several key states had not been called yet and Biden's comments earlier in the day. When asked if he would give a speech Tuesday night, Biden simply told reporters, “If there’s something to talk about tonight, I’ll talk about it,” according to the Washington Post.Shortly after Biden's speech, Trump addressed the nation from the White House and falsely claimed victory, and vowed to send the outcome of the Supreme Court should the results prove he lost. In a statement, Biden campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon called the comments "outrageous, unprecedented and incorrect." There had been some questions earlier in the day whether Trump or Former Vice President Joe Biden would give any speech Tuesday night. There has been warnings all week it could take longer for states to count record-levels of mail-in ballots and in-person votes, and there may not be a winner projected in the presidential race Tuesday night.During a stop at his campaign headquarters, President Donald Trump said he was not thinking about any speeches Tuesday night yet. When asked if he had prepared one, he said, “No, I’m not thinking about a concession speech or acceptance speech yet. Hopefully we’ll only be doing one of those two. And you know, winning is easy, losing is never easy, not for me it’s not.”However, Tuesday night, Kellyanne Conway told ABC News the president is planning on giving a speech."You will hear from the president tonight," Conway said when asked if Trump would talk. "The President is expected to address the nation later from the East Room of the White House," Conway explained, adding that four years ago, Trump gave his speech at around 3 a.m.No word what time the president will talk. 2500
