MILWAUKEE — Jacob Blake is out of the hospital and in a rehabilitation center, his attorney says.Blake was in Froedtert Hospital since Aug. 23, when Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey fired seven rounds into Blake's back.Blake's attorney declined to say when exactly Blake left the hospital, or how long he is expected to remain at the rehabilitation center. Blake's family said he had been paralyzed from the waist down. It appears his condition has improved somewhat, as he is now recovering in an unidentified rehabilitation center.Blake was initially handcuffed to his hospital bed after the shooting. Police said at the time that the handcuffs were necessary because Blake still had an outstanding warrant on him. After he posted bond and with the help of local lawmakers, the handcuffs were removed, and the police officers guarding his door left.Officer Sheskey has not been charged in the shooting. Sheskey's attorney says the officer believed at the time that Blake may have been trying to drive off with a woman's child.On August 23, Officers were initially called to a domestic incident. There, they attempted to arrest Blake on an outstanding warrant for third degree sexual assault charges. Blake tried to get into his car, when the officer fired his service gun into Blake's back.The shooting quickly became national news as protests erupted in Kenosha and across the U.S.After a few nights of demonstrations in Kenosha, a 17-year-old man opened fire on the crowd, hitting three people. Two people died and the third was taken to the hospital. The teen, Kyle Rittenhouse, was arrested at his home in Illinois and he is now facing extradition to Wisconsin and charges in the shooting deaths. MORGAN HILL, Calif. -- Authorities are investigating what exactly caused a plane to land on the freeway in the Bay Area Sunday morning, according to The Mercury News. The plane landed on Highway 101 near Morgan Hill around 11 a.m. The plane blocked one lane of the highway before authorities were able to tow it away.The Federal Aviation Administration said engine failure caused the emergency landing.Only the pilot was onboard and was uninjured, authorities confirmed. (KGTV) - A mother took on the mission to organize donations for Americans evacuated from China, amid coronavirus concerns.Erin Dockery, wife of Commanding Officer of MCAS Miramar Charles Dockery, never thought in a million years that 240 evacuees would be in quarantine on base. Nearly 7 in 10 Americans are motivated to improve their health during the pandemic, according to a new poll.Researchers with MDVIP and Ipsos conducted the survey including Americans age 35 and older on July 9 and released their findings this week.Some of the results confirm what many of us are feeling: half of respondents said they feel more stressed, anxious and depressed than before the pandemic, and one in three said they have developed an unhealthy habit, such as overeating, excessive drinking or not exercising.It seems the global pandemic is also spurring some positive trends, as Americans reexamine their health and habits.The data found that 69 percent of participants said the pandemic had motivated them to be healthier. Nearly 20,000 are without power, and up to an additional 192,000 customers could lose power due to wildfires in Southern California.Parts of Southern California have been under red flag warnings as gusty winds have fueled the spread of wildfires. The area has also had low humidity, which also has helped fuel fires.The National Weather Service said on Monday that “if fire ignition occurs, conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread, long range spotting, and extreme fire behavior which would threaten life and property.”A handful of fires have burned in recent days, the largest is the Bond Fire, which originated in Orange County last week.
