Parents and guardians looking to keep kids entertained this summer reportedly helped boost sales of LEGO sets. The company’s second quarter report shows a 14 percent increase in sales during the first half of 2020 over the same time period last year.“During the first half, we saw the benefits of our investments in long-term growth initiatives such as e-commerce and product innovation,” the LEGO Group CEO, Niels B. Christiansen said in a statement.He also thanked employees and colleagues who did “everything they could to stay safe and bring play to children and families around the world.”Despite citing growth in e-commerce, LEGO is planning to open dozens of new stores yet this year.The toy company announced they are still on track to open 120 new stores in 2020, with about 80 of them based in China. The pill works to block pleasure sensors in the brain. He says combined with psycho-therapy the cravings go away."It's not seeing or enjoying alcohol like it normally does, so it starts to lose interest over time," said Dr. Yasinski."I came back two weeks later and he said 'how did you do,' and I said well I felt great cause I didn't have to change a thing," said Kennedy.But what did change, was the desire to drink. Both report drinking isn't a problem anymore. This coming as nearly 70 percent of traditional rehab patients relapse within the first year."To me, it’s like there is no relapse, you just keep going and keep improving," said Kennedy."I just feel so much better about myself and that's what makes the difference," said Krise.A true testament to what taking a chance can lead to.So why are we just hearing about this now? PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Within a series of unfinished walls, Tom Stefanko oversees hundreds of construction workers every day, all of them wearing what looks like an old-school pager. Yet, the technology involved is new.“I think it gives workers a little bit of comfort,” Stefanko said.The devices are proximity tracers, designed to make sure workers on construction sites remain socially-distant during these pandemic times.“If I was in contact another person, it would start beeping red,” Stefanko said. “And if I stayed there longer, it progressively beeps louder.”While they alert workers that they’re too close to one another, the proximity tracers also record that data, in case a worker later ends up testing positive for COVID-19.“It provides the ability to have a real-time alerting system and then also be able to go back historically and see who's been in contact with whom to do the contact tracing,” said Robert Costantini, CEO of Triax Technologies.The company began to develop the proximity tracers when the coronavirus outbreak began.“The stakes are really high, if you get it wrong,” Costantini said. “I mean, workers could be infected. You can shut your site down. The cost can be enormous.”The contact tracers, though, cost about a dollar a day, per worker. More than 15,000 of them are now in use on more than 70 construction sites around the country, including the 1 million square foot building that Tom Stefanko and his team are working on in Philadelphia.“We have a thousand tags here on site,” Stefanko said. “Most workers just keep it on their hardhat. OTAY MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a person of interest after a mother and daughter were shot and killed at an Otay Mesa home Sunday morning.San Diego Police were called to the residence on the 4300 block of Ebersole Drive after receiving reports of shots fired around 8:30 a.m.When police arrived they found a 37-year-old woman in the front yard with a gunshot wound.Police then learned that another woman was injured inside the house. They found a 65-year-old woman, also suffering from gunshot wounds.Both of the women who were shot died from their injuries. Police believe that the person of interest in the case, Justice Love Peace, aka. Jeremiah Horton, took a 6-month-old boy from the home. Shortly after 3 p.m., police said they had safely located the 6-month-old boy, but were still searching for Horton.Horton is considered armed and dangerous.Police believe Horton is the infant's father, the 37-year-old woman is the infant's mother, and the 65-year-old woman is the 37-year-old's mother. (KGTV) - A Pine Valley restaurant owner is defying San Diego County orders to move his restaurant outside, saying he will continue to ignore the purple tier rules to keep his business afloat.When it was announced that San Diego County would move into the more restrictive purple tier, Major’s Diner owner Larry McNamer told ABC 10News he had plans to stay open inside, even though all restaurants are required to move outside completely. He stayed true to his word, operating indoors, saying he still follows social distancing practices, but needs the inside space because his restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, and the winter months bring temperatures in the 30s for the mountain community.“They’re saying they wanted us back outside and we said no absolutely not, not going to do it,” said McNamer.RELATED: "We are over it." His boss had asked him to call me and ask where we’re standing on this,” said McNamer.McNamer said he has no plans to close his indoor operations, even if he receives warnings. He said if the County decides to fine him, they won’t be receiving any money from him.“Great, bring it on. I can barely pay my bills now, where do you think that money is going to come from. You won’t get it,” he said.He is not alone. Other business owners in San Diego have similar frustrations. A reopen rally is set for Monday afternoon at the County Administration Building.
