That's what Marcel McClinton, 17, says he is asked a lot."I've got the right ideas and change is necessary to bring our city and push it further to success," he answers.McClinton is just days out of high school and turns 18 on July 5. Waffle House says it is closing 420 restaurants across the country.In a Tuesday morning tweet, Waffle House said the vast majority of its locations would remain open.According to a map included in Waffle House's tweet, many of the chain's northernmost locations will close. Most of the restaurant's locations in Ohio, northern Virginia and Maryland are among those that will be shut down.Waffle House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.The closures come as the Trump administration has urged Americans to avoid eating in restaurant dining rooms, encouraging them instead to order take-out or go through drive-thrus at least through the weekend.FEMA has confirmed that they measure the severity of a disaster by how many Waffle Houses in an area remain open. U.S. gasoline prices are becoming a real pain for motorists, particularly in the west.A survey of more than 5,000 gas stations conducted by AAA shows that the average price for a gallon of regular gas is now .75, up 11% in the last month. And the average price is already above a gallon in six western states: California, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and Alaska.Four-dollar gas is the average in a couple of California counties. Many others are within a few cents of that mark, including San Francisco, where the average price is .98. The statewide average in California is up 20 cents a gallon, or 5%, to .83 in just the last week.The Midwest has also been hit by price spikes. The average price in Chicago has jumped 46 cents a gallon, or 16%, to .27 in the last month.Unplanned refinery maintenance at several locations is responsible for the sudden, and uneven, increases across the nation, said Tom Kloza, head of energy analysis for the Oil Price Information Service.
