(KGTV) -- A woman was arrested in connection with the death of a man in an Escondido apartment, police said Wednesday.At around 7 p.m. Tuesday, a woman called 911 to report that her roommate was dead in an apartment in the 600 block of N. Quince Street, according to Escondido police.Responding officers arrived to find an unidentified man “unresponsive with obvious signs of trauma,” police said.The man was pronounced dead at the scene.Escondido police added: “The woman who had called 911 was present at the apartment. ENCINITAS, Calif. (KGTV) -- A girl who disappeared from Moonlight Beach Tuesday afternoon was found safe in San Marcos. According to lifeguards, the 14-year-old girl’s family called to report her missing just before 5 p.m. Just before 6 p.m. the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said the young girl was located in San Marcos. It's unclear at this time what the girl was doing in San Marcos, but the department said family members were traveling to the city to pick her up. 487

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Fire crews Monday stopped the forward rate of spread of a brush fire in the San Pasqual Valley. The blaze, dubbed the Cloverdale Fire, burned 100 acres and is, as of 7 p.m. Monday, 15 percent contained. The fire broke out on the 21000 block of San Pasqual Road around 3 p.m. near Hungry Hawk Vineyards. Arson investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department announced in an Instagram post Monday night. A San Diego firefighter suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene.  602
