(KGTV) — It wasn't long ago police department began throwing down the challenge to other agencies to pick a song a sing.The "lip sync challenge" has bounced between departments from coast to coast since about June. (KGTV) - More than 150 Coachella concert-goers had to face the music after fraudulently using disabled parking placards or parking spaces.Indio Police checked nearly 2,000 placards during the two-weekend run of Coachella Valley Music Festival. At least 135 guests were cited for fraudulent using placards and another 18 were cited for using disabled parking without a permit.The ratio was less than the previous year, according to the state Department of Motor Vehicles, dropping from one in every 13 people to one in every seven.RELATED: Earthquake felt by Coachella attendees during music festival's final dayThose who abuse use of the placard can have their placard confiscated, receive a misdemeanor citation, and be fined anywhere from 0 to ,000.The violation also appears on offenders' driving record."When someone misuses a disabled person parking placard, it impedes the mobility of our disabled community," said Jean Shiomoto, DMV Director. “I’m asking all able-bodied Californians to save the space." 1033

A 3-year-old suffered second-degree burns after falling into a small thermal feature at Yellowstone National Park.The National Park Service (NPS) says the child took off running from a trail before slipping and falling into the feature Friday morning. It happened near the Midway Geyser Basin.The child, who suffered burns to the lower body and back, was airlifted to the Burn Center at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.According to NPS, the ground in hydrothermal areas, like at Yellowstone, is fragile and thin. Just below the surface is scalding water.Visitors to Yellowstone are asked to always remain on boardwalks and trails. They’re also encouraged to exercise extreme caution around thermal features.This certainly isn’t the first time someone has been injured in a thermal area like this. This past May, NPS says another visitor, who illegally entered the park, fell into thermal feature at Old Faithful while taking photos.Similar instances have been reported in previous years as well. A 10th child has died following an outbreak of adenovirus at a New Jersey rehabilitation facility, state health officials said.At least 27 children have been linked to the outbreak at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Haskell, the New Jersey Department of Health said."To date, the individuals associated with the outbreak became ill between Sept. 26 and Oct. 29," it said. "The affected children had severely compromised immune systems — including respiratory problems — before the outbreak began."The viruses are found on unclean surfaces and medical instruments.
