SOUTHCREST (CNS) - A man was shot in the face in the Southcrest area Saturday evening. The 34-year-old was outside 4000 Boston Ave. when a white vehicle drove by around 5 p.m.According to San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims, the shooter fired several rounds from inside the vehicle, leaving the victim with non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital.Police saw the suspect vehicle trying to escape and pursued it until it crashed.One person was taken into custody, but another was still at large. Cheese with your children in St. Petersburg, Florida last Friday, July 27, you would have found the popular kid's place closed.Inspectors found more than 130 rodent droppings all over the kitchen inside the restaurant.Rodent activity was evident after finding dozens of droppings near racks of food, the chest freezer, pizza oven, deli table, drink station, dishwashing area, water heater, hallways, and dry storage room, the state documented.Inspectors also found rodent rub marks and six holes in the walls and ceilings including near the front counter area and toy storage room. All holes were about four to six inches in diameter which might be how the rodents were getting inside the restaurant.Among the 29 other violations recorded in two days, the state found dead roaches and accumulation of food debris/grease on pizza pans, interior of the keg cooler, on the self-serve drink station, behind the ice chute and soda nozzle areas and iced tea dispenser spigots. There was also no certified food service manager on duty. Chuck E. Cheese's restroom toilets were also not working properly, according to the state, with three toilets out of service in both the boys and girls restrooms. 1303
SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (KGTV) — A man who was fatally stabbed in Spring Valley on Friday, and the woman arrested on suspicion of his murder, have been identified.Manuel Castro, 41, was found Friday just after 11:30 p.m. at his apartment in the 3500 block of James Circle, after a reported stabbing. He was rushed to the hospital with a stab wound to the chest, where he died shortly after arriving.Castro's live-in girlfriend, Anielka Arbizu, 37, was found at the scene when deputies arrived. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Sunday, Arbizu was charged with one count of murder at Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility.Sheriff's deputies don't suspect any other suspects in the case. 727
SPRING VALLEY (CNS) - A 48-year-old man who went missing during an outing near Sweetwater Reservoir two weeks ago has been found dead, authorities reported Friday.A search-and-rescue team came across the body of Edward Leonard in a remote spot near the Spring Valley-area manmade lake on Thursday morning, according to San Diego County Sheriff's Department.There was no immediate evidence of criminal involvement in Leonard's death, authorities said.Leonard had been missing since July 2, when a friend dropped him off at the reservoir to go fishing, officials said. A ruling on his cause of death was on hold pending autopsy results. 642
