President-elect Joe Biden’s favorability rating has risen six percentage points since the election while President Donald Trump’s has slipped three points, according to a recent survey from Gallup.The survey talked to Americans between November 5-19, during a time when the Trump campaign’s legal team was filing lawsuits and challenging the general election results in several states. Biden’s favorability among this group grew from 6% to 12% since the election, while Trump’s rating among this group dropped from 95% to 89%.Gallup says Biden’s bump in favorability is in line with trends they have seen after presidential elections since 2000.Meanwhile, ratings for losing presidential candidates in Gallup’s poll have been mixed over the years; John McCain and Mitt Romney saw a higher rating post-election, and Hillary Clinton’s rating was unchanged after the 2016 election. 1517

Record high ocean temperatures are bringing large crowds to San Diego beaches. The warm water also has the potential to attract more stingrays and jellyfish to the area.The Scripps Institute of Oceanography reports that surface ocean temperatures reached a record 79.5 degrees Sunday, which is more than ten degrees above normal. That, combined with unseasonably hot and humid weather, brought 333,680 people to City of San Diego beaches over the weekend, city lifeguards estimate. Clarissa Anderson, executive director of the Southern California Coastal Ocean Observing System at Scripps Institute of Oceanography, said it's unclear what has led to the higher temperatures. "The last several years we really have seen these anomalous temperatures every summer," she said, adding that the hot and humid water could be playing a role.The warm waters could also attract more stingrays to plant themselves along the shallow sand and jelly fish in the water just off shore. People who don't shuffle their feet risk a sting from the ray, while jelly fish sting on contact."More people are going to the beach, warmer temperatures, nice water and so you've just got more people and more animals, higher probability of encounter," Anderson said. RAMONA, Calif. (KGTV) - A Ramona family is grieving the loss of a 14-year-old boy, killed Tuesday night while riding a skateboard on a residential street."He was really happy and so charismatic. He loved his family, loved to skateboard," said Amber Krapf, Logan Krapf's mother.Logan was on his skateboard, just before 7:30 p.m that night in a neighborhood in the San Diego Country Estates. He was on Barona Mesa Road near a streetlight with two friends, one on a skateboard, another on a bike.His friends say they were wearing helmets in the streets, and going from right to left in the road, headed toward a golf course, when the headlights on a pickup appeared around a curve.Two of the boys managed to get to the roadside, but Logan did not, as the truck struck him. His mother Amber got the call and raced to the scene."Everyone around me was crying. I was number and just in shock that this could happen," said Amber.By the time she arrived, her son had passed."I kissed him. Told him that I loved him. Told him goodbye, that it was okay," said a tearful Amber.CHP investigators say the driver, a 20-year-old man, did stop and performed CPR. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor, but Amber believes speed was. The speed limit is 25."An officer said he admitted on scene that he was going at least 45 ...
