The founder of the popular Southern California bakery passed away peacefully Friday with her husband by her side, the company said.According to KABC, Rosa launched Porto’s Bakery after escaping to the United States from Cuba. Looking to undermine rival Joe Biden 20 days before the election, President Donald Trump’s campaign has seized on a tabloid story offering bizarre twists to a familiar line of attack: Biden’s relationship with Ukraine. But the story in the New York Post raises more questions than answers, including about the authenticity of an email at the center of the story. The origins of the story also trace back to Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who has repeatedly pushed unfounded claims about Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. Even if the emails in the Post are legitimate, they don’t validate Trump and Giuliani’s claims that Biden’s actions were influenced by his son’s business dealings in Ukraine.The email reportedly is from Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burisma’s board, and reads thank you "for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent (sic) some time together. It’s realty (sic) an honor and pleasure.” The Biden campaign told the Associated Press that it could not find a meeting between the then vice president and Pozharskyi on Biden's schedule. Given that the emails came directly from Trump's representatives, there are questions on the authenticity of the emails, which the Post reports came from a device left by Hunter Biden at a repair shop. Meanwhile, Twitter and Facebook have announced that they're limiting the spread of the post while they work to validate the report's authenticity. LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A Panorama City girl is suing the Walt Disney Co. alleging she contracted Legionnaire's disease after a visit to Disneyland in 2017 to celebrate her mother's birthday.The girl's Los Angeles Superior Court negligence suit, filed Wednesday, seeks unspecified damages. LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A Los Angeles entertainment executive reportedly received two houses in Tennessee free of charge from the man authorities say was responsible for the Christmas Day bombing in downtown Nashville.FBI officials said Sunday that they believe Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, was responsible for the bombing, which originated in an RV parked downtown and occurred at 6:40 a.m. Nashville time Friday morning. The blast damaged an AT&T building and interfered with cellphone service and police and hospital communications in several Southern states.They also said Warner is believed to have died in the bombing, and there was no indication that anyone else was involved in the crime.The Daily Mail reported late Saturday that a house worth 9,000 was transferred to 29-year-old Michelle Swing in January 2019 by Warner, and another 0,000 home was transferred to Swing last month.Swing transferred the first house to another person, the Daily Mail reported.The 0,000 house was raided by FBI agents Saturday as part of the investigation into the bombing. LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Prosecutors recommended Friday that Oscar-nominated actress Felicity Huffman serve one month behind bars and pay a ,000 fine for her role in the college admissions cheating scandal, according to a filing in Boston federal court. The “Desperate Housewives'' actress pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud for paying ,000 to have a proctor correct her daughter's answers on a college-entrance exam. In their sentencing memorandum filed Friday, prosecutors also recommended that the 56-year-old actress, who earned an Oscar nod for ``Transamerica,'' serve one year of supervised release following her stint in federal custody. Prosecutors suggested in May they would seek as much as four months in prison for Huffman. Huffman's attorneys filed court papers asking that the judge sentence the actress to one year of probation and 250 hours of community service. More than two dozen people submitted letters of support to the court, including Huffman's husband William H. Macy and ``Desperate Housewives'' co-star Eva Longoria.But prosecutors wrote that anything less than a jail term would be insufficient, describing Huffman's conduct as ``deliberate and manifestly criminal,'' according to the sentencing memorandum. The actress will be sentenced Sept. 13 in Boston. ``In the context of this case, neither probation nor home confinement - - in a large home in the Hollywood Hills with an infinity pool -- would constitute meaningful punishment or deter others from committing similar crimes,'' prosecutors wrote.
