I didn’t panic. I didn’t feel upset." At peace with herself, she didn't realize it wasn't her time yet and a hero came to her rescue. "The door opened and this very nice young man said 'hold on to me I'll get you to a dry place.' So I held onto him, did exactly as he told me, and he posted me in the grass at Glades where the sidewalk is and he said 'is there anything in the car that you need?' I said, 'yes, I would like to have my purse and all the paperwork pertaining to the car is in the glove compartment,' and he said, 'OK, I’ll get it,'" Modine said.Alice said the young man dove into the water to retrieve her things. She thinks she may have asked him for his name but could not remember. "He was good-looking, probably in his 30s and I somehow think he may have been connected with the military at one time or now because he handled this whole thing so professionally," said Modine said. Modine is hoping that the young man who helped her on Saturday will see this story and come forward so she can thank him properly. "I’ve been haunted by this wish to be able to thank him because I really must thank him for my life," she said.  1959

AKRON, Ohio — One couple is accusing a haunted house in Akron, Ohio of subjecting patrons to a mock rape scene without asking their permission or having them sign a waiver."There was a man in a mask standing over my boyfriend, my boyfriend was on the edge and he was being pushed down," said Sarah Lelonek."She comes over and yells, 'Stop, what are you doing? That's my boyfriend,' " said Lelonek's boyfriend Ryan Carr. "'Not anymore, he's mine now I'm going to rape him' and then he started thrusting against me."The couple says this all went down at the Akron Fright Fest, which is housed on the Kim Tam Park property. They say this is not the special haunted house where you had to sign a waiver to enter, although they do offer a haunted house like that on the property. Lelonek and Carr aren't the only ones complaining about this rape scenario.One Facebook user wrote "It was 100 percent a rape scene," and someone else said, "They did have a mock rape scene in one of the houses."A different viewer sent WEWS television station reporters a private Facebook message and wrote, "They grabbed my ankles and shins and pulled my legs apart and was thrusting while telling me to scream papa."WEWS reached out to the haunted house manager over Facebook, but he did not respond to the message. A former Strongsville (Ohio) City Schools employee has been indicted for the alleged theft of several high-priced items, including a barn, purchased using school district funds.On May 10, the Lorain County Sheriff's Office and the state auditor executed a search warrant at the residence of Robert Schwerman, 49, who was a former maintenance foreman for the Strongsville City School District.The investigation involved the alleged theft of ,000 worth of material goods from the district dating back to 2013, according to the state auditor, who held a press conference on Tuesday announcing the indictment.Schwerman is accused of stealing an upgraded John Deere utility vehicle valued at more than ,000 and a ,000 zero-turn lawn mower. Amazing, up-close video shows a tour guide's GoPro camera becoming engulfed in a Hawaii lava flow.Erik Storm said it happened by accident while he was guiding a tour in Kalapana in August 2016.Storm said he used a rock hammer to extract the camera after the lava began to cool and harden.He thought it had surely been destroyed, but was amazed to see the blue Wi-Fi light still blinking.
