BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday met with United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres ahead of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), scheduled for Sept. 3 and 4.

Guterres also expressed his gratitude for China's great efforts in tackling global challenges including climate change despite difficulties.
