LOCKPORT, N.Y.  — A woman went into labor while watching the original version of the horror movie "The Purge" at the Transit Drive-In Theater in Lockport, New York. The woman's car would not start because the battery had gone dead, making things even more stressful."It was code red," said owner Rick Cohen with a laugh, who admits that he was worried the baby was going to be born on the spot. In addition, the movie was still playing, making a rescue in the dark more challenging.The Transit Drive-in was built in 1952 and has been operated by Cohen's family since 1957. During the rescue, Cohen was thinking "hot towels, hot water and hopefully not too big of a mess." The drive-in owner has has no children or experience in the delivery room.Cohen was able to use a portable battery pack and flashlight to start the car and escort the woman and her very nervous husband safely to the exit.Social media has also taken a liking to this story with numerous people posting "Congratulations" and "Close call! Could have been the first baby born at the Transit Drive-In.""I guess the baby was in a hurry to come see a movie," said Cohen with a chuckle, who is hoping to meet the parents again.  "I wish them the best but would really like to know how they made out."In the rush to get the couple out of the drive-in and on the way to the hospital, Cohen said he never thought to find out who the parents were and what hospital they were going to.While he has encountered many things in his years as a drive-in movie operator, Cohen said he has never had a situation where a woman began to give birth — especially during a horror movie. 1701

LONDON (AP) — Anti-racism protesters in southwestern England have pulled down the statue of a slave trader and then dumped it into a harbor. The toppling of Edward Colston's statue was greeted with joyous scenes Sunday. Demonstrators attached ropes to the statue before pulling it down. Footage of the moments after the statue crashed to the ground saw hundreds, if not thousands, of local residents in ecstasy. The statue was then rolled into the nearby Bristol Harbor. Police said officers have launched an investigation and are looking for those who “committed an act of criminal damage.” 600

LOGAN HEIGHTS (KGTV) - Police are investigating a stabbing in Logan Heights that left one man injured.The stabbing happened just before 6:20 p.m. Sunday in the 3000 block on National Avenue near 30th Street.Police say the man was stabbed in an alley at least two times, once in the leg and once in the face.The man was transported to UCSD with non-life threatening injuries.There were no witnesses to the stabbing.Police say they are currently looking at cameras in the area to identify a suspect.Residents in the area told 10News that crime has been increasing in their neighborhood. 592

(KGTV) -- Cell phone video that surfaced Monday shows good Samaritans rescuing passengers from a sinking car.The rescue happened in Long Beach after the car accidentally crashed through the railing, slamming into the water.Inside the car at the time of the crash were a woman, her son and a dog. (KGTV) — Long Beach Police and transit officials are investigating whether a crime was committed this week when a man in a suit dragged an unconscious, partially naked man off a train, leaving him on the platform.[Warning: graphic video] Cell phone video shows the moments when the man dragged the other man off the train at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The man recording the video says the unconscious man had just suffered a seizure, Los Angeles ABC-affiliate KABC reported.The man in the suit then grabs the unconscious man's belongings and tosses them off the train and returns to his seat.The man recording the video argued with the man in the suit about what he had done. The two of them continued to argue for about five minutes before the man in the suit gets off the train to check on the unconscious man.Medics eventually arrive to help the unconscious man, who was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is not yet clear.Police and train officials are now investigating if the man in the suit committed a crime by dragging the man off the train."Obviously, this is very disturbing and we never want to see this on our system. We're getting all the facts including reviewing the video from the train and the platform," Los Angeles Metro officials told KABC in part through a statement. 1329
