For veterans, a no frills way to work on your game."It's short, it's inexpensive, and it's well kept," Fred Leipold, an avid Loma Club golfer, told 10News.Lauren Gomez first played at the club when she was just a toddler. Now, she tees off with a scholarship to Pepperdine University in her back pocket. "I know a lot of kids come out here to practice. There's not a lot of golf courses around here, so it's really important to Point Loma," Gomez said.More than a century of history sits in the club's soil. Coli during visits to the San Diego County Fair this summer have filed claims against the company that operates the fair.Attorneys representing the families of Jedidiah King Cabezuela, Cristiano Lopez, and Ryan Sadrabadi filed legal documents on Monday."Our investigation has already turned enough information for us to determine that these illnesses were entirely preventable," said Ron Simon, one of the attorneys representing the families.County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency confirmed 11 cases of E. Coli, all of which involve children ranging in age from two to 13. The outbreak was traced to children that visited the animal areas or the petting zoo, or had other animal contact at the fair, county health officials previously reported, and that the illnesses had no link to any food facilities the children accessed.2-year-old Jedidiah King Cabezuela, from National City, suffered stomach problems four days after visiting the fair on June 15 despite washing his hands following a stop at the petting zoo, a family member told 10News. E. Coli can incubate over a period of 10 days.Over the next three days, Jedidiah was in and out of the emergency room before the symptoms worsened. His kidneys began failing, and he died from Shiga-toxin-producing E. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The leader of a San Diego motorcycle gang pleaded guilty Tuesday to participating in a scheme to seal dozens of Jeep Wranglers in San Diego County. Jimmy Josue Martinez, a leader of the Hooligans motorcycle gang, pleaded guilty Tuesday, admitting to participating in the scheme. According to court records, the gang is responsible for the theft of more than 150 of the vehicles since 2014, totaling about .5 million. Records show that the Hooligans used high-tech methods to disable security systems and steal the Jeeps before taking them to Tijuana to be sold or stripped for parts. Martinez and members of his crew would obtain the vehicle identification number in advance before getting secret key codes which allowed them to create a duplicate key for a particular Jeep. “The joy ride is over for Mr. Martinez,” said U.S. Attorney Robert Brewer. “These thefts were audacious and sophisticated and created hassle and heartache for scores of Jeep owners. I congratulate prosecutors Andrew Galvin and Joseph S. Green, the FBI and members of the Regional Auto Theft Task Force for putting together a strong case against a gang that, unfortunately, has lived up to its name.”Along with Martinez, eight other members of the gang were charged in a grand jury indictment in 2017.
